I oscillate between being frustrated with how much of a money pit this hobby is, and then being overly excited to spend $40 on titanium bolts.

non sequitur - I don’t think my lacroix is going to be ready for the PNW esk8 get down.

Trust me, once u get to a point where u can’t keep track of which bolt goes where and u buy more because u can’t find them, u will realized that u got too much titanium bolts, then u will still go and buy more  it’s a never ending cycle

For ya record, 12.9 works fine on esk8, titanium is just fancy stuff that isn’t necessary

Somebody please kill me if I ever buy titanium bolts. Such a fuckin wank

It’s cool though. Its TITANIUM.

I’m happy to spend money on things that are gonna return value for said money… but bolts? Fuck that.

The titanium oil slick wave has passed. The second jaypoo made the motors, it became disgusting.

It’s like when someone you can’t stand joins your conversation.

Not only that, but 12.9 (even 10.9) is better than titanium. ā€œBetterā€ meaning more reliable. Because there are many definitions for better. If you want better == ā€œmore svelteā€ then titanium wins. Titanium is stronger per weight than steel, but it’s not stronger per size. Ideal choice for aircraft. In skateboards, it’s typically size that is more constraining then weight.

Just imagine my feeling… Having built the first (that I know of) oil slicked build around those matrix 2s… Just to have a fudge round come in and make me hate it.

I always thought of him as more of a poo cube

And now you have to get the shitty oil slick motors because no one else is making them… the life of an oil slick fanatic sure is hard.

Agree with you - functionally not a good use of money. They are pretty though.
