Well… I’m pretty damn excited.

Finally starting a build thread for my Ramm Paragon — Project Redline.

Nothing crazy to show just yet, but parts are finally on the way and I’m pumped. Been sitting on the deck for a while waiting for finances to clear up, it feels good to finally get this one moving.

Should have some real progress pics soon.

Parts on the way:

  • Stormcore 2.0

  • Radium 6485’s 138kv

  • 18s7p with Eve 40PL’s

  • MBoards 8” Novas

More to come once everything starts landing.

Also — if anyone has a solid recommendation for an 18s BMS, I would love to hear what you guys are running.

I have not personally used A ZBMS but I have one and plan to use it, I’ve seen others use it in their builds.

A bit limited on charge current but the BMS is pretty low profile.

Might be worth looking into

The ZBMS is widely used in the onewheel world.

I have a Flipsky one in my pint

The ones from Joey Z are almost always sold out it seems

They are not a smart BMSs.. not monitoring. (I like monitoring)

That’s good info. I think I’ll have to stick with a SmartBMS. I’m not quite brave enough to run my packs without monitoring.

I’ve run a couple JBD/LLT smart BMS’ without any issues. I got one from JBD through Aliexpress and one from LLT from their website. Same product. This is the one I’m running in my newest 20S build…

Heck yes, that’s exactly what I was looking for. The only downside is the lack of built-in Bluetooth, but I can live with running an external.

I’m running one of these JK BMS’s from AliExpress on my Lacroix Super Sport. I had trouble finding a 18S BMS, so I just got the 20S and only used 18 leads (it is for anywhere between 8-20S). At first, I was a bit skeptical of using a JK BMS, but I really, really, like it. Why? Because it has a separate button that controls the power to the Bluetooth. Also, I really like the JK BMS App. It has a lot of data and settings that I could not find on the Daly BMS App. For example: I can control the charging rate of each P Group individually. This is just my 2 cents. Hope it helps.

Yeah, I was insanely lucky to get my hands on this one.

Sounds like a few members had been searching for YEARS. It really sucks that they weren’t more widely available.
