Who posted that? Where? It does not really add up. Has I wonder actually sent any of the new cores/wheels outside the factory? I think there are alot of reasons to question the legitimacy of that post. It seems high on malice and low on facts. I might say different if there was a picture. It also reads abit like it was written by an angry kid – complete with emoji’s.

not sure, it was from an above post, I only added the the bits in GREEN

So I read back further and I guess it was already established that the person who posted that did not have the discover cores.

I just canceled my deal with Flipsky service to send me the new version for replacement and told them to refund me instead (like they wanted to in the beginning) Lost on import duties but don’t care. Will get a Kegel adapter and use the 100mm Boas on the board I planned to use the Cloudwheels.

In response to my email telling Iwonder my replacement wheels failed they gave me a refund on the original set I bought off Amazon.

Also on the Discovery set I bought for 70 bucks there is now movement on the tracking saying the shipment was picked up.

I thought they did a pretty good job with it, it was kind of out of the blue and random, and not very like organized in the sense of getting more people to know about it, but I liked it haha it was fun. but thank you!

Jealous much! Mine seem to be enjoying some quality time in Shanghai…

Ok so on inspection:

Firstly, no genuine abec pulley will fit this. However all my clone pulleys fit it nicely. The bearings are also not as tight of a fit, closer to abec11 cores, press in/out with medium pressure. Measurements here:

Secondly, the hunt for that mold line. A bit harder with clear, but it’s there. Not a crack, can see right through the plastic, but on the surface, that line that spans down the width of the core:

But is it going to break? It’s clear so why not check molding stress via birefringence?

This clearly lights up the dark line down the 2 halves of the mold. Something not visible at all in normal light. The rest of the plastic looks relatively uniform, not great, not bad. If it is going to crack, it would be at that seam. But all the extra material may render that highly unlikely. These will be taking the place of their original version on the 4wd for road testing tonight.
