Those torque arms are super interesting, how is the rotation handles I’m turns? Are you using ball pivots, bushings or something else?
@tech.shit on edge the arms lift the motor from the snow line.
When you lean back to tail-press they are designed to dig in and bite more.
The entire arm is a bushing, it deflects in every direction. (The energy is focused to release vertically.)
Just enough material to suspend the motor from the tail.
Update: Case complete
Oh boy all that needs is a battery pack stomp pad
Please beach test this thing xD
10s2p Stomp pad would work.
Internals complete
190kv/5:1 gearbox = 38 wheel kv 63100 = 50Nm
10s = 24.4mph, 39.3kmh
12s = 29.8mph, 48kmh
13s = 32.5mph, 52.4kmh
16s = 40mph, 65kmh
20s = 48mph, 78kmh
20s seems almost too powerful, or is it just fast and fun?
Snow has a poor traction coefficient.
If it’s fast, even the haters will want one.
Thanks to @shaman our controller is now alive.
We will use Little FOCers as our OEM controller tuned to our motors @ 20s.
Damn! This looks like it might just work!!!
Find snow now.
I’ll be at the cabin on Saturday with 2 units ready to ride.
Good luck. Looks like the long road is just about to pay off.
Which cabin and who do I gotta pleasure to be there testing this?
My buddy lives behind A-frame I couch surf
Super cool! How do the threaded studs on the dead axle of the motor (would you technically call that a dead axle?) connect to the mounting arms?
Still working on the fender… Getting closer.
