No problem! The one you linked shows a 2.5 - 4 inner tube which is also 9".
8 and 9" tires DO NOT use the same inner tube.

anyone seen or got?
do we need another thread for pulleys/sprockets?
Has anybody found out if the new Hoyt 5" works on anything other than their own rims yet?
I did a bit of cleanup in the garage and found those from my old (~2004) mountainboard. Don’t know if there’s a way to reuse them… The bolts on the hubs are rusted a.f., so they’ll probably won’t survive dismounting. The hubs themselves present cracks around the bearing housing, which is not really super confidence inspiring (probably too much sun). And they use some weird imperial size of bearing (3/8 x 1 1/8 x 3/8), that was matching some unusual 3/8" extended truck axles. Those axles have been bent beyond rescue by (excessive) jumping. Only bearings that I could find for those hubs would be 12x28x8, but that would require a sleeve to go from 12mm to 10 or 8mm axles, not sure where to find that…
Maybe the tyres are the only thing that can be scavenged, I’d need to see if they fit on typical mbs hubs.
Take the tires and throw them on some five stars. Take those hub and throw them in the trash.
Sounds like the sensible option…The hubs will likely suffer further damage when removing the tires and tubes.
Major wheelchair vibes with the old grey tires haha
Those hubs are done for
Got my sunmate tires and tubes.
I saw xcell coming out with some juicy looking tyres. I talked to land surf today, and confirmed tyres can be bought separately. They are 165x63mm, and the xcell wheels/hubs are 106x53 mm. Would these tires fit on a lets say, 107x50 mm wheel/hub? What is the normal outer hub size? Or did xcell/land surf make these to only fit their own wheels.
How do you guys deal with the bearings seats on MBS Rockstar Hubs being loose? I tried kapton tape but it comes off quite fast.
I have put aluminum foil yesterday and I will see it helps after I take it for a ride later today.
Take a piece of printer paper and roll it somewhat like a cone. Shove cone end in hub hole, drop bearing in the cone, push down and let the paper expand around bearing, then seat everything in the hub. Razorblade off the excess paper. This has worked well for me w/loose hubs, you can put the smallest amount of superglue on the top of the paper/hub so it doesn’t back out like kapton easily does.
Alternatively, green loctite retaining compound, not threadlocker. Easier than paper method and is highly reliable. I apply a tiny drop on the sidewall of the hub, spread it around w/a toothpick or something, then some on the outer bearing race, spreading it as well.
Thanks dude, that will be my next move once the aluminum foil comes off. My hubs are the plastic ones, does the loctite bond to that?
Yeah, loctite 680.
I bought a 10ml bottle for like $10 shipped on eBay, more than you’ll ever use in a lifetime of ESK8 imo.
Just wipe the hub seats & bearing outer race pretty well w/90%+ isopropyl or dawn dish soap to make sure they’re clean.
Once bearings are seated, I also drip a bit more into the crevice/edges, it gets sucked in via capillary action
Might not make a difference, but I also then put them on an axle and tighten them down overnight until it’s cured. Stays locked in well, but still easy enough to pop them out.
Printer paper is like the quick & dirty method that works better than kapton, loctite 680 is what should be used in general.
Guys i havent scrolled through the whole compendium so i just ask
Are there any good alternatives on ali (or somewhere else) for 9“ mud pluggers?
Thx very much!!
Yes I think so, first do a search on this page and you might find it, if not, maybe @Venom121212 has a link
How’s the wobble on these?
Thx very much!!!
Hm. 99 for four tires, no tubes included. Premium, but not crazy. I wonder how much the price will increase after promotional rate
If you were planning to buy some XT wheels this is a perfect opportunity since they’re giving a “Free” set of tires with each XT wheel purchase
