Pink Puma, first ever build. 10s4p, flipsky 4.2, dual 170kv motors

First ever serious build! I’ve been lurking around on the forum looking at deals

mboards, flipsky, and amazon and the build is finally coming together after 2 other stupid boards. The motors VESC and remote are all reused from my second board which I couldn’t use anymore because the anti spark witch caught and ruined my battery.

I got the name pink puma because of the pink in the board and the puma part because when i think of carbon fiber I think stealthy and pumas are stealth. Idk :person_shrugging:

For the deck i chose the used metro board pheonix deck off of Mboards (didn’t realize it didn’t come with a top to the enclosure).

I made the top part of the enclosure with 3/4 in plywood and sanded in and carved it so it fit mostly flush on the board. I chose pink and black to paint it because I thought it would look sick faded into the carbon.

For the VESC i went with a flipshit 4.2. After reading through the forum that probably wasn’t the smartest idea, I’ll probably upgrade to a dv4 in the future.

For the remote i chose a vx2 pro. Seemed pretty simple, didn’t really know what else I should have got.

For the motors i got some generic amazon motors for $45 each. The reviews were pretty good but I’ll probably again upgrade these later.

For the battery @pecos is rebuilding a lacroix 12s4p pack into a flat 10s4p pack. Thank you!

I’ll probably update this later but any advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks

Right now working on wiring the battery meter at the front of the board aswell at the power button.

How are you liking the deck so far?? I am dying to try mine.

I can’t ride till early July partly because I won’t have a battery till then and my mom also won’t let me but I’ve just pushed it around the neighborhood and it feels mostly fine. There’s no concave though…

Oh, gotcha. I am curious how a zero flex board will ride.

You found someone to build you a battery, then?

Pecos is building me a 10s4p

All the old metro boards had zero flex and this one’s gonna be the same. I would probably ask someone who’s ridden one before and see how they like it or ride someone’s metroboard.

Oh, awesome! You are going to end up with a killer battery, for sure.
