Thanks. I would say 25-30 km/h tops. But this shit es sharp as hell. It doesnt look like that on picture…
Damn. Where was the impact that hit the cell? Leading edge of the enclosure or somewhere in the middle/belly? You don’t have to talk about it more if you don’t want to. I’m just interested in helping others prevent this in the futur. I went off-roading with a buddy who has a flux build and he came close to being in the same boat as you.
Nah i dont mind talking about it. It was exactly in the middle between wheels. It hit the “front” side of the enclosure. Went in about 2cm. Enclosure cracked from the impact. No way any kind of enclosure would survive it except maybe steel one. Aluminum would be pierced as well i think…
Lesson learned. Off road = enclosure on top. Too risky this way.
@BenjaminF I wanna take a Tabor out there and test our work lol
@EreTroN This was such a glorious board.
It’s somewhat poetic it would go down in such sudden manner.
I am really sorry!!!
I am really glad it happened in a place where no other damage could take place.
I look forward to your new build and riding again!!!

That’s fucking horrible dude I’m so sorry that happened. Worst-nightmare level shit right there.
Any parts salvageable?
I don’t know. I will go to salvage whats left tomorrow.
At least hoyt puck left.
I guess maybe trucks and rims. Anyway whatever left will be donated here if anyone can use it.
My condolences man.
@Tony_Stark I am off to vacation on august 2nd. I have no other board at the moment since this one died, what is the situation with mach one? Do you have any assembled and what is your experience with shipping to europe? Will it make it here by then?
I’m so sorry that happened, I think it’s something we all have nightmares of.
Is much of it salvageable? Like hubs, rims, gear drives, trucks, and motors.
I think @Dnollie might be acquiring some of the necessary parts for a build along those lines.
That must have be some piece of metal.
If you do air freight we can get one to you in 10-15 days typically. It’s no good for sand but incredibly good for everything else.
Damn such a bummer. It’s kinda scary that you’re riding in soft sand with hidden metal impalement hazards. Glad it was the board getting stabbed and not you. Easy to wipe out in soft sand.
Really sry for you
But always keep being positive
A new Build can be made
when time is right
