Onsra 115mm airless wheel quick review.

I’m pretty scared about the top speed I will be getting with the 10s battery so it was kind of my only option, if I get belt skipping I will change back to the 15t. Tanks for the advice!!

I meaaan… depends what too fast means for you. I’d gladly trade some torque to top out at 60km/hr right now

Problem with under 15t is that you wear out the belt much faster by the tighter bending and the higher tension you need to avoid belt skipping.
The other, more expensive route is 44t wheel pulleys. Needs new pulley and belt

Or just go full pneumatics lol. Whole different world of comfort

Pneumatics it’s my next goal… But a very distant one:joy::joy::money_mouth_face:

I should be topping out at 45-50 kmh with the current setup, but I have no place to go that fast. I can’t buy another set of pulleys as I just updated them from a 36 to a 40. I will then stay with the 15T and follow your advice. Just need to find some good quality ones.

Steel ones from @Anubis, they last forever lol. Just grub screws are tricky

If the axle supports it, @dickyho has 6x2 pneumatics for cheap, but the 60T pulleys are a wee bit pricy and you need extended motor mounts (+395 belts). The hub bearing to bearing is 38mm so short axles have no chance. BN220 with shoulder bolts work perfectly with a hub + 1 10mm spacer
You will need to consider wheel bite clearance at this point as well.

I average 17.5 to 18.2wh/km on them currently. Riding like an animal

Maybe the whole thing will come at ~100usd?

100usd is not that bad, but I don’t think my current axels are suited for this job as i have tb218. I can buy belts from China and 3d print 60t pulleys while I find a better option for the pulleys. Don’t know about the wheel bite as I don’t expect to keep my current deck for long because it’s too short for me.

No idea what my current wh/km is for me as I haven’t done accurate measurements. But I don’t really care about range that much as I don’t ride far from home.

Measure the axle up until before the threaded part.

Trust me, those pulleys sound beastly, especially if you put an idler on there. Dickyho has the belts as well for cheap

I think he’s stopped but you can send him a message on here

Hi, can you tell me how fast they wear out? I am in need of rubber wheels but my current trucks can’t accommodate most pneumatics. (27mm usable axle space) I would use it on a pushboard for now and than on an electric later.

Also, Fabi said somewhere that there will be a 74A version instead of the 70A that’s currently out. I should probably wait for that, right?

I suspect a 74a rubber would have lower rolling resistance and still have plenty of grip in the turns. I would seriously consider buying these when they become available.

Hi, any insight how to best remove a bearing from those aluminium cores without damaging them? I unfortunately don’t have access to an bearing puller.

I had these wheels a while back and I used WD 40 to lubricate. Then, I used a screw driver/ truck axle to hammer them out little by little. You just got to have patience

yeah…found a better way actually, its called a blind hole bearing puller
