Anyone who can tell me what kind of paste this lightest Grey is?

10S, 4.5:1 gearing, 140kv or 190kv?

what wheel size?

200mm

140kv is going to give you a top speed of 40km/h, too low imo. get 190kv

understandable

my friend has a lacroix proto with 2 focboxes
1 of his motors stopped spinning (did a hand test and seems that the motor is fine)

i tried updating the focboxes to a more recent firmware but everytime i did it would say that firmware has been updated but when i reconnect it would stay on the old firmware
tried updating bootloader also but no luck

the other focbox wont connect at all.

is it bricked?

lacroix are just telling me to send to a repair wizard but i doubt thats necessary as they seem ok.

anyway to test if they are bricked

You said one won’t connect directly via USB, so sending for repair may be a good suggestion.

Stop using Phillips screws, listen to people then they suggest Wera Hex Plus wrenches, and send photos when asking questions

if i wanted to power a light how would i go about connecting it to the battery and then connecting it to a second power button?

previous esc had a black and red wire straight on the esc, is that possible on fsesc?

its already converted for the battery voltage

How powerful is the light? The simplest safe way is

  1. Work out how much current the lights need
  2. Get two appropriately sized wires (don’t use bigger than 18AWG unless you need it, it’ll just make things worse if there’s a fault)
  3. Add a fuse. Use one of those inline fuse holders and an automotive blade fuse if it can handle your current (it probably can), or solder a fuse directly in the line. Probably put it on the positive line
  4. Add a switch that can definitely handle the current you need (should be easy enough) also on the positive line
  5. Terminate in either an XT30, or JST connector if it’s very small

From here it’s a bit more messy. Is it a 12V light? Does it have a switching converter in built that can run off battery voltage? If it can run from the battery I’d just add an XT30/JST connector in parallel to the ESC input

Most cheap toggle switches can’t handle upwards of 5A, relays for high current/voltage are king here, your switch just has to supply current to the coil (generally under 100mAh) instead of the load (Many amperes).
