E. All of the above
bought some m4x8 screws from the hardware shop and they’re a tad bit too long, so for the same price I got x6 screws. cost less than a starbucks coffee anyways
At what point is an Aliexpress order really late? I purchased ten sets of tubes and tires on 1/07 and can file a dispute if it hasn’t arrived by 4/08. I am hoping that at this point they are getting close. No updates though, so it is a mystery.
What do you guys do with an old battery pack when you upgrade to a new one? Besides recycle it?
Yeah that’s kind of been my thought. The software looks a bit nicer on the kelly but votol doesn’t look horrible. I do like the packaging on the votol, seems more professional and inline with e motorbikes but thats visual opinion only. The votol with canbus looks awesome but they only sell with that huge motor and $300 shipping.
170 is higher than 130 due to less windings. But there should be nothing wrong with less amps. So you should be good.
Either use them for a different purpose or actually recycle them.
What specifically? I can really only imagine it being like a big charger for things like your laptops or phones or things like that.
You pretty much answered it.
Yup. If you’ve got enough cells, you could pair them with an inverter and use it as a low-budget powerwall. Especially useful in power outages.
Hey guys, I was wondering if you could help me out.
Is it harmful to have your wires at a 90* angle?
Is it harmful to have battery leads at two different lengths? (say negative lead is 6inches longer than the negative lead).
(5mm is a rough estimate)
I ask because this seems to be one way for me to run a stormcore. But I am not too sure if it is even worth it. I would have no problem soldering the extender like this, as long as it won’t have any harmful effects.
Unless anybody else has other ideas?
90° wire bends are no problem as long as it does not result in a lot of stress on the nearby connection. Just don’t bend/unbend the wire a lot.
It’s typically best to have the battery wires to the ESC be as short as possible to help minimize voltage spikes. Can’t you run the two green wires together on the right side of the Stormcore? They can “stack” on top of each other.
How are you going to prevent the pack from vibrating/impacting up against the connector though? That will stress the connection and also, depending on your battery construction, possibly damage one or more cells over time.
You can try to solder the connector sideways instead of straight. It might work out.
Guys, any info where to find good quality inner tube for 6” tyres?
I use dicky extended mounts and I switch from thane (90mm) to 6x2 pneumatics
Once you get the right technique you will slide 90mm wheels like 80mm ones
Depends on where you buy. Idk if evolve is good, or torqueboards.
If you’re looking for a motor controller for an actual full sized motorcycle ie 250cc-400cc, check out APT for another chinese controller, im using their 96v 800phase amp / 320~ battery amp controller and its really the lowest power output I would consider acceptable for a motorcycle. QSmotor has some pretty well paired hubs with them,
There’s a category for ebikes/onewheels/etc.
Edit: personnally I’ve been checking out the Goldenmotor.com motors and controlers I think they are pretty good and well priced
I went with the kelly kls7218s, hopefully enough with the 200a 20sec burst.
@joshoujoe lol didn’t notice I guess I’ll put a build thread there then.
Oooh so this is why you got molicel’s batteries, you going for a sur-ron type of build or a stealth bomber type one?
Edit: gonna do a video/ post for your battery build?
