If you can wait, get one from AliExpress from a known seller like YZ Power. Super cheap, great quality. That’s what most of us have, and it what most of the chargers actually are, they are just rebranded.

I used RTV on mine, because my case is black and so is the heat sink :man_shrugging:

@athrx would a soldering iron work to loosen loctite?

The Metroboard and evolve chargers are the same, and they are A+. If you can afford it, i would go with those.

Haven’t seen that method tbh. Let me know if that works.

Lol he wants to wire it in parallel with his ownboard w2 battery.

Sounds like abomination and disaster

Yeah guess it puts out heat so maybe however I’d doubt it puts out enough quick enough

I expect you want a flame which quickly heats up remove and then call down

10s2p and a 10s3p with the possibility of it being a different type of battery and amp/voltage differences…

What could possibly go wrong

If you can get the soldering iron hot enough, then it might work. I just never tried that since I usually use the blue loctite.

same. Box is black and infinitysink obviously too.

As long as it seals the gaps :man_shrugging:t2:

@athrx got a big question here
i reprogrammed the vescs with my carvons and now the noise has been removed and they run perfect.
however that bearing is still def partially dead and doesnt allow me to tighten all the way
is it safe to run or is it urgent to change the bearing before it seizes up on me

I would change the bearings for safety reasons.

Only about as well as a lighter, and maybe not even that well. The problem is getting good thermal contact, and also the low power of a soldering iron.

Just use a torch, they’re cheap and they work very well at jobs that need a torch.

Those may not fit. I’ve gotten some that were just barely too small.

Not sure if those will be or not, but be warned. Maybe let us know once they arrive?

I’m in the comments there as well

On a random screw stuck in something with a low thermal capacity, yes. On a screw stuck in 4kg of metal, no

A gas torch borrowed off my plummer neighbour melted off the loctite from by geardrives in less than 20 seconds. Before that i stood there with a soldering iron cranked to 540° for half an hour
