yeah I just read some reviews after what @frame said, so ill have to search elsewhere for a vanguard/clone.
close enough:
but it really isn’t that much cheaper than a legit loaded vanguard
https://www.muirskate.com/longboard/decks/2384/loaded-vanguard-longboard-skateboard-deck-w-grip
if only I could actually get a loaded vanguard… On ebay they go for over $200 it seems.
$200 isn’t terrible for a name-brand deck. It’s on the high side, but still not terrible. I mean, it’s not great. $250 - $700 i’d say is terrible like a lot of the decks I was just looking at last week
Maybe try putting a Want to Buy post on r/longboarding and someone will have a used one.
its a used boosted v1 deck… i dont think thats a good deal lol. ill check reddit
Oh LoL then you’re paying for the Boosted name. Try finding a regular loaded brand one.
id probably want flex 3/4 considering im 200lbs…
probably 3 as thats what boosted uses.
How flat is the deck? Any concave?
well, to be fair, wowgo and ownboard used to be one company they pretty much have the same product
i honestly don’t care how ridiculous the brand name is, as long as their product isn’t stooopid or shit
Ownboard is fine imo but landsnail is laughable lmao
if something is called landsnail it better max out at 10 mph aha
does anyone know what kind of wires this uses and if I can reuse the run wires/replace them?
The boosted deck uses copper braid, if I recall. There are Youtube videos on it from years back, check there
Diyeboards is a HUGE no no. I definitely agree.
As @BenjaminF has written perfectly, lower pulse will lower speed and torque. You may have to raise throttle curve to get a good start, but duty cycle is limited (as in the given power, since it can still show the same speed as if you’re on speed mode 3 flipped on a bench) and you won’t have the same speed/torque as mode 2 or 3, even if the throttle curve was changed.
