Noob question thread! 2020_Summer

ok good, these look like a perfect solution.which pelicase are you using? (and how big a battery can fit it?)

I have a Harbor Freight Apache 1800 with 2x 6s 12A graphene lipos in it on this board:

This is the apache cases, they cheap:

+1 on the Apache case. Got 2 14Ah Tattus in it and it’s a perfect fit. For connectors, I went with a 3D printed panel mount that was siliconed over. The male XT90 slides in, completing the seal.

you have a pic of the inside?

Also looking for a battery case

One of the battery’s currently charging, and I use it for storage while batteries are out, but here it is with one of the batteries in place. Wires go through the center, and just imagine the other battery is on the other side with all the foam and lights and allen keys.

Thanks!

Sorry, not following. A 20lb long board?

Ah damn, I literally just woke up :joy: my brain is still confused
@Evwan, im sorry I would not know, as I don’t live in the US

Your best bet is ground shipping by UPS or FedEx, that would probably be around $50 each way but I’m not sure, if anyone @longhairedboy would know about shipping boards

I tried UPS, but the website wouldnt load, and I generally don’t ship fedex, but I got it figured out anyways. A buddy of mine is driving down to Florida, so he will be my courier aha.

Think of how you will get it back lol, I’d get it ready for ground shipping and have your friend take it in that box so you can use it the other way

Yeah, im still figuring it out. Maybe i’ll ship the battery and take the board on the flight with me, as shipping the board will probably cost over the $35 for a checked bag + ~$20 for the battery, or I’ll wait a few more weeks and he’ll bring it back if possible.

weird how so many people have such vastly different experiences with shippers. For me UPS is hot garbage and FedEx is where its at. But others have sworn the exact opposite.

Honestly I’ve never had an issue with any service, I just don’t like the post office because they just generally are rude and unhelpful and difficult for no reason, and the FedEx building is fucking cold all the time

print label, stick on box, toss box in car, drive to fedex office, run in and toss box on counter, wave, back into warm car.

True, UPS is still nicer, and the price is usually the same. But FedEx is better for shipping to Canada

umm

Dude, if you’re not skating to the post office carrying the package, then I highly suggest trying that instead :sunglasses:
