Noob question thread! 2020_Summer

You pay more because it’s hard to get…that’s called supply and demand

The BN220 hangers have 40mm of axle before the threads. Wheel with two bearings and bearing spacer take up 7+10+7 = 24

With 16mm left, I guess I could stack a 10mm spacer and 8mm spacer…

I thought maybe someone sold extra long spacers for this.

I just slap washers on the axles till I get a length I like :joy:, nice and easy. If there’s enough space for a bearing spacer or something, I’ll add that

Can anyone help out with this one? More info in @Mawzie’s thread.

I use something similar for U.S. to Singapore.

this is probably how you will get the best shipping rates too. Buying an international shipping label retail is usually pretty expensive.

So what’s the deal with the trampa 75/300 and similar ESCs? why do they have 3 sets of phase wires and battery power connectors? are they intended to drive 3 motors? I assume not because nobody needs that on an eskate, so what’s the point then?

biiiiiiiiggggggg powwwwwwwaaaahhhhhhh

(its easier to solder a bunch of small AWG wires to a pcb than one big one. Same with your motors and battery and connectors and everything else. It’s just easier to work with this way.)

No, they only drive one motor. They just triple up on all the wires to handle the 300 amps without needing crazy fat wire and special connectors.

Like Mobster said, BIG Powah.

The VESC guide im following says that motor current should be 75-80 … but mine are these

is this a big problem?

im running 6374 170kv FS motors with 12s4p 40t battery w Unity

no problem, set it at 80 and be done with it

how do i set it to 80? - this was just detecting the motors, id didnt set anything except for the battery

*just going by the vesc tool app here:
setting is under MOTOR CFG, change 2 tab to current and there are values u can change

i would assume the vesc tool pc version should be along the similar area, under motor section

ok, thank you. Another thing, apparently (according to the Pavel Garmas VESC setup video), when your PPM mapping this section

just sowm fluctuating numbers/some sort of activity…mine shows no movement, wheras Pavel’s shows this

if i press accelerte on the remote it works (spinds teh motors), buty it just doesn’t register on the PPM mapping part of the software.

u using uart remote? those don’t need ppm mapping

Turn on RT APP on the right side

I’m using the Flipsky V2, i thnk i requested a UART cable…is the V2 UART?

is this for UART?

vx2 pro is uart only remote, there is no need to deal with ppm mapping, but if u need to calibrate it, u can do it in the remote itself

ah ok, thank you. What’s the RT settting referred to above?
