Thanks for the link. It was very interesting to read it. Iāve also watched the videos and Iām really impressed by speeds you go. But I still didnāt get the benefits of those trucks over existing trucks, besides they look very cool.
So if I get you right, you donāt try to solve any problems on existing trucks, but you want to create an additional design instead?
The 3-links have a different feel to them compared to the other trucks you mentioned. The turning and the carving feels different. Itās an other option.
Some day Iād like to build chassis for the massis.
They are labor intensive and my day job doesnāt allow much time for it.

I believe you can achieve crazy speeds on other trucks as well. Just look at all the fast boards out there. They have different trucks. These trucks can relatively simple be dialed in for both very high speed and a tight track. Two moths back I did 56 mph and now the same truck is used to short track ride.
But for me itās the feel. They feel different. I didnāt really get totally satisfied on rkp, tkp and channel never resonated with me. These are the ones I have felt most comfortable on. I also like how I can easy change the tilt to stear ratio. I can have the same loose truck setup but with either very much steer or almost no steer. Something I havenāt been able achieve on other trucks.
This. This is exactly how I can relate and feel on these trucks compared to others.

I donāt see any problems with existing trucks.
They work fine for their intended use.
Truck play, walk, slop, what you call it, makes for bad times when torsional forces are introduced.
All the conventional trucks you mentioned have their own inherent problems when powered.
3-link is a precision adjustable steering system with a wide wide steering fulcrum. Torsional
Forces on a zero rake axel have zero effect on torque steer when accelerating or braking during a high G stuck down turn.

Its not about ābetterā and ānot goodā its about small differences and preferences and the whole setup and deck deep down to the bushings and everything.
You cant say 93a bushings are better than 85a bushings on a downhill setup for example and thats the key here.
