So, the axle itself isnāt permanently bound to the tie-rod/rose joint Iām guessing? I.e. Is it only a matter of removing lock nuts (seen in the video at the 2min mark) that fix the axle to the joint?

Iām really keen on 2" wider axles (1" per side). It would allow a bit more room for customisation.
Would make it possible to run some decent size direct drive motors without having to reduce the radius rod axle mount to axle centreline distance
