Will there be motor pulleys to match up with these? 8mm and 10mm motor shaft options?
Sorry if I missed something.
assume you cant easliy use vescs with 800kv motors? (erpm limit)
Inrunners have less poles, so technically you’re within the limits of v6 hardware.
For example: 800kv x 50volts = 40k RPM, with 3 pole pairs that’s 120k ERPM.
Not sure if that’s a good idea thou, gear ratio would have to be really high xD
he has super high gear ratios and if moe runs at 8s then 12s shouldnt be that much higher ratio
It’s all here.
Except prices are different now. Xlx2 is $40 more.
You’ll need a 33% bigger gear ratio then before
I’d recommend not putting these on 12s…
Just an FYI they don’t make 7T pinions lol…
they sell the 420kv version that may work?
Why go Inrunners at that point Why would you want to use Inrunners on 12s when the setup is specifically designed for 800kv 8s inrunners. The motors are different. 800kv can do hundreds of amps, 420 can only do 93
ah i get you
sorry
however to build a true race board a vesc wont be able to handle the current required for a 800kv motor so you will have to go rc esc
i was considering building a true race board but i really wanted vescs in it
Why?
Also I’d recommend really mastering your current board before thinking of the next one. You haven’t even touched the surface of what’s possible on your current board.
my new board is awesome however the truth is the huge trucks mean that it just cant compete around anything tight.
on big straights and roads its a beast but take it to a smaller track/carpark and you aint turning.
contemplating changing to 3 link awd and selling that drive train
Try loosening your setup or getting softer bushings. Get good at riding fast on soft trucks
yeah gonna soften the rear a bit but i dont think they will ever match nkp’s
Then your coming into it with the right mindset.
Same speed calculations
Here are my most recent thoughts on my next build and I am interested to know you’re all thoughts.
2wd, 16s7p battery molicels a42p
Ubox Spinted esc,
Ant. 8072 140kv motors,
3-links,
Deck/enclosure TBD but big, something around 44" long and 11" wide.
I am hoping to do some racing with this set up but also want a build I can do long rides on.
Cheers
Truth, amen brother.
