NEWBEE COMPANY AND RTKP TRUCK WARNING

That’s one way to put it lol

Same, and if they are I wanna know what company so I can stay FAR away :joy:

Exactly, spot on

Eeeeexactly. And if that actually worked with me and or fixed it rather than everything else they have done it would be a whole different story

Well they’ve made another offer, originally they offered me 30 measly dollars now they’ve offered me half my money back, I’m still trying to see if I can communicate with PayPal to get more than that because that’s still not acceptable to me

… so now you’re scamming them?

To be clear - you’re keeping the perfectly functional trucks, AND getting money back?

I don’t WANT the trucks, I’m trying to get rid of them and first day I literally tried to return em, nobody is gonna buy em cause of the crap newbee did that I’ve shown and told, so no, ik not trying to scam em, I’m trying toget the money I spent back.

If you wanna buy em for half price then I’ll be whole and I won’t have trucks I don’t want and can’t use

Also perfectly functional? Not to me, they’re useless and worthless to me, I bought em for one thing and can’t use em for that

Also it’s a very odd choice for you to go on their side…

Maybe. I see two story lines there.

From facebook/instagram chat before the order was placed… right? So you had replied to something they posted or were you just jumping back and forth? Just saying there are more convincing screenshots you could post. The ones you posted actually go against the storyline. Maybe the PO showing the details would convince me. Thinking they edited their website after your purchase is :face_with_spiral_eyes:

 20+ years running my own biz and it took some time to distinguish my client base.

Something something consumer expectations vs reality on plastic gear drives / anything. Come-on they didnt make you choose to spend all that money. They eventually developed their product. Sent you the info you asked… The outside of your gear drive looks like you had some good fun on them anyways

For reference most of us have spent tens of thousands of dollars, endless hours rebuilding broken boards, fried esc components, remote cutouts, shipping/customs irregularities, injuries… any sport is gonna have this.

If you bought one truck for 99$ and you keep it plus 30$ refund that is probably all of their profits. To call that a scam is incorrect.

I make some stuff for esk8. Its for fun and to develop the sport. To make a pair is expensive and time consuming and i can make money doing other things. But if i see someone is passionate about the sport or their performance, and i can improve it, i am very happy to spend a couple late evenings in the garage.

You can twist the facts however you want; you’re obviously deliberately ignoring the screenshots and the facts provided so you can defend Newbee. In that case, there’s no point in discussing it further.

We pointed out the company’s behavior—what anyone chooses to make of that is entirely up to them. If someone is fine with untested products that break or don’t even work properly from the start (wrong pattern, different truck mounting), or with nonexistent customer support that doesn’t respond, then by all means, happy shopping.

Thermal transfer pad and a spot of hot glue, the newbee case is that small the wiring holds the esc in place otherwise :man_shrugging:t2:

The product pic didn’t include the rust, and you absolutely can control rust, there is this thing called “oil” which should be applied to bare steel after manufacturing.
