Itā€™s a top mount e-mtb that you canā€™t actually off road because torque and hub clearance.

I donā€™t think clearance is a huge problem here, if you see Trampa motor mounts, they are low AF to the ground, and then most MTB out there have quite big wheel pulleys that are also pretty low to the ground.

But then I could see multiple things that may or may not be an issue depending on your point of view.

  • As you mentioned the lack of torque. A 4WD might help with this issue, but them being hubs with terrible gearing ratio isā€¦ mehā€¦
  • The trucks arenā€™t made for an angled deck like this.
  • I am not sure if the trucks could withstand MTB constraints as they werenā€™t designed for this purpose.
  • 3d printed stuff isnā€™t that strong, I donā€™t think they are using top-grade printing materials. With some heat, the plastic could melt. (Unlikely but itā€™s more fragile than other materials that we/Lacroix use.)

the difference between slamming your Mount into a big rock and slamming a hub motor into said rock is quite different.

Maybe the title was pushing it, but I do like the enclosure a lot. Im also not one to hate on meepo, just dont think they out perform lacroix
