Need one of those mini FOCs

I do have a 4.1 eac and it will fit. The esc6 fits, but sits too high because the compartment slopes up at that end. It only needs to drop 3/8in or so, so I think routing it out a little will be OK.

Isn’t this stuff made to be applied over stained wood?

Anyone have a 3d print model for this, or know where to get them? That would work well with this deck.

Maybe?

I can redesign it to try and fit that deck?

That would be great. Do you need some measurements?

Yeah measurements and pictures would greatly help, send me a PM

Oh dear… I was going to use 10s3p NESE modules in my deck, but now see that I might have the same space issue you have.

You might be good, you’re gonna get at least a 180mm x 65mm equivalent region back, that’s more than enough for another ESC if it’s less chunky than the cased 6.xx types

Perhaps, will have to see how good my tetris skills are.

I was worried about the width withthe 4p, but that is fine, it is the 10s length that is the issue. My other idea is to route out a bit in the front so the battery will slide forward more. There seems to be plenty of material there, so I don’t think it will be an issue.

I’m very skeptical about routing out more space in an integrated deck.
I would only do it I was wrapping that thing in carbon fiber or something.

What about taking the case off the heat sink? depending on use you might be okay without it and then you won’t need to risk the deck

Here is a better picture with the battery pack properly compressed. You can see I stuck a pen in to hold everything compressed and I have about a 1/2in “extra” space with the battery pack and esc. Since the compartment slopes here, the esc will hit the lid. It’s over by 3/8: tops. I think I will route out some from the front to move the battery pack forward. There is a lot of material there, so I am not worried about integrity in this area. Hopefully that will be enough.

You could totally fit two mini foc in that space.

Two stacked on top of each other with extra heatsink vs a single focbox

If you’re interested, I’ll trade you a FOCBox for it, not too many miles and it’s got a XT90 and 5.5mm connections so plug and play…it’s a little smaller

Whelp looks like I’m buying a couple of mini focs. Has anybody reviewed them yet?

Stained timber is very different than oiled or wax timber.

@jeffwuneo what exactly is the finish on these neo decks? And do you know if spar urethane or epoxy will stick to it?
