Was going closer to the top end when it happened and had to ride out some fishtailing and then jump off and SLAP SLAP SLAP my feet to run it out. Feet were definitely sore for a day or two.

Luckily I don’t really care about going much more than 25mph and prefer the smaller wheels for the torque. Also have a lot of skateboard bailing experience.
I would have changed them sooner but never got my replacement set that was supposed to come with my board.

Yeah, hubs are the closest thing to a real longboard experience imo, I use hubs as well for shorter commutes. But the raptor hubs have a notorious rep

The raptor hubs ride much better than the china ones I’ve ridden. I just over rode the thane. Had a few thousand km on them.

Would love to try them but don’t see it happening. Have a lot of other priorities before building an eskate tbh. The raptor 2.1 is actually a really good ride and has a really nice smooth torque feel. Just trying to get another set of outwheels. Maybe I would upgrade the battery too.

goood enertion thane works fine, But after 4500km ive not had such issues. But honestly it looks that you will need to care much better for them too. one set should last you
I didn’t foresee not being able to get another set of wheels (had a set due any week for a long time). Otherwise I would have treated them a little better. In hindsight I would be doing repairs constantly with glue. They definitely started cracking on their own in a couple months but what did them in was picking up a small screw on the bike path. Blew out a few days later.
Is this thread dead, or there is replacement for raptor outwheels out there and everyone knows except me?
