Nano16s super tiny configurable BMS

ooh yeah you’re right, didn’t look close enough to notice what it was

that is looking fenominally sexy  if proven to work well and cost is low will be putting in all the packs!

few questions:

  • how many temp sensors it has (its important to know pack temp at its center, bigger packs may need at least 2)
  • how does it communicate to VESC? (can or Uart?)

I see so this is a charge only and without communication to VESC - would be interesting to have VESC communication indeed - will wait for Pro version

  • how does it connect to pc? didn’t find that info

Pin layouts so you can connect to pc and there is at least 1 thermistor so over heating shouldn’t be a problem

I think making it ‘smarter’ or communicate with the VESC would make it much bigger, you have the FlexiBMS for example also the programmation would probably make the price much much higher

That appears to be an I2C port though and would need an adapter of some type for comms with a PC.

For connection to PC we are developing a write tool, which has 6 pogo pins

cool cheers  would it not be easier to implement a tiny BT module?

any idea when it would be released?

“Hello from the other side…” guys, am I the only person interested in this bms… ? kind of hard to keep discussion up when no one replies haha

good good good  I’m sure some activity on a month old thread will be beneficial  so new people can find it that need it currently :+1::blush:

hope they will have some update soon. Other companies that plan to release such tiny BMS charge only all stay rather quite after saying its coming so very soon a month ago, part shortage must have caught up with them.

I’d buy a couple. Not available yet I guess
