My experience with Eovan

Thanks! Yeah, I still have to scrub off the potting compound.

Is that an aluminum PCB?

Yes it is

Finally finished. Unfortunately the Stormcore was too tall, so I used a Flipsky 4.20 plus with smart a/s switch and bt module. I tapped new holes in the heatsink and kept receiver externally mounted.

I have a stack of dead eovan esc’s, one of them nearly started a fire! :joy:
I replaced their shit ESC with a ubox and haven’t had any issues since.

16s4p fits with relocating the ESC :o

Sure but that’s sacrilege on a street deck

i have had horrible customer service multiple times from prebuilt boards of many brands. So many paperweights! if i had only found a builder close to me sooner things would have been so much cheaper!(i had 2 surgerys due to a failed remote)
i found a great builder 14miles from me, my only complaint is the dick moved to lodi from oakland(this broke my heart Artem,i cry ll the way to Lodi now) so now i drive an hour. havig a person who responds and i can take it to is Priceless. One day he will buy a peice of land, ill be able to pay him back by digging cheap holes all over his land .(some fool lets me operate 140,000 lb excavators and pays me )
Good luck, i finnaly got ecomobil to warrenty my battery when i had a shirt made that says “ecomobil sucks, they steal your money and sell you broken shit”. i sent them a picture, claimed i actualy have friends in the community and would wear the shirt on every group ride.(suckers,i have no friends and ride alone at night)

https://skyartpower.com/ I am very happy,id probbly just move to Lodi BUT ITS FLAT AS HELL

This company is complete garbage. No warranty support when my deck split in half. I ended up buying parts to get it running again.

Can someone tell me where I can find a Eovan GTS remote without payment $100?
Are there any aftermarket ones that will work with the stock ecs?

you’re probably better served buying something like a makerx DV6 and a compatible remote for that to be honest. Investing money back into the stock eovan system is a waste

Just need a remote as my esc is fine. I crushed mine in a fall.

If the electronics in the remote are good, 3d print a new shell.

These are vesc based escs. If you can find the right connections and get the regular vesc firmware on it, you could use pretty much any remote.

Going to hope I can just find a used Eovan remote.

u can’t, afaik they found a way to lockdown the remote pairing specfic to that eovan esc, so even if u get another remote u can’t re-pair it. eovan is pure shit anyway, get a real vesc like makerx dv6 and a puck or something. u will have better exerience than spending 100 bucks on an unusable remote

I am hoping you are incorrect on that one. They sell remotes so my guess is you can pair. Agree Eovan is a garbage company though.

Theyre not all true vesc based. The GTS Carbon Pro is a true vesc, and can be connected to and configured properly, even had a usb access panel. GTS carbon super, silo, etc are not as configurable and iirc are potted in silicone.

Mine is the OG GTS first gen I think.

Does the ESC heatsink have a narrow rectangular access panel with micro USB ports underneath it? If so, it’s a full featured VESC and i believe you should be able to use any VESC compatible remote
