It is pretty much perfect outside…
But I’m feeling lazy right now so no lunch break ride.
I got the Flux on the bench and will tinker a bit instead.
It is pretty much perfect outside…
But I’m feeling lazy right now so no lunch break ride.
I got the Flux on the bench and will tinker a bit instead.
So. Yep.
Funny how you forget some things…
Halfway through lunch break…
Only one tire off…
It is super hard to take Kendas off of the Hellcat wides…
I seriously think I had an easier time changing my onewheel GT tire…
Holy bananas…
Putting the bearings back in was not super easy either…
Long story short. One hour… Half way done with one hub…
As I am battling the Flux I get a nice distraction in the mail.
Shinny new wheels for my regular board.
I had gotten a new complete a while back and it seemed horrible to push.
I have not taken it to the park yet…
But I could not stand the super hard 55 mm wheels I had gotten…
So I got these juicy 62 mm Orangatan Skiffs
…
And oh my. What a difference it made.
The regular board will maybe get a bit of action now.
And seems like I will get by without more risers…
This was a particularly interesting example of me underestimating how long something would take.
What an adventure.
I got the other half done…
Well.
I didn’t change the bearings on the rear hub…
They were not moving and sounded ok…
As an added bonus I took the other front hub apart again because I forgot the inner spacer…
Which may be the reason the bearings had failed even…
I only had 3 of four going…
All better now.
The Flux is my favorite.
It is just so good to me.
It just rolls over anything and it’s sooo carvy…
Had a great night ride with Benji and did 21.5 miles.
After we got back we went Onewheeling for a bit.
And I rode the Pint X for 2.5 miles while Benji rode the GT.
Not bad for a Monday night…
I got some decent time on boards yesterday and ended up stacking 31 miles.
3.5 miles on the GT for school drop off.
Another 2 miles on the GT for a morning break.
5.3 miles on the Gravel Flux and GT for school pick up.
1 mile on the Pint X for happy hour.
Then I took the Rally Cat on a 10 mile Bodega run.
That was a fun one…
And I really thought I was done… But Benji inspired me to get off the couch and hit a 10 mile night ride on the Flux.
And that was definitely the right thing to do…
What did the kids ride? How did you get their vehicles home?
The girl and the neighbor friend walked…
it is only 0.7 miles to walk there…less than I thought until I just looked.
I basically fly around on the GT while spot checking that they are actually walking to school at a pace that is likely to get them there on time…
I have dreams of all of us cruising to school on OneWheels together someday, but have not figured out storage…
These forward mounted set ups with short mounts are the ultimate little rock magnet…
I get them in there all the time…
I did a little rip around the neighborhood in the ATV Ditch Life this morning.
And it warmed up pretty good out there so I am going to hang out in the Garage.
On the bench today is the Gravel Flux.
I’m putting the back tires in the front.
And I am also going to dick around with the gear drive adapter and make the hub go closer to the adapter and Shorten up the bolts.
I wonder if that will make my mystery clicking noise go away.
I wonder if this will all be pretty straightforward or if it will be a roller coaster like the Flux was the other day…
Pretty wild to see how much the posts wore out.
How about them apples…
Already halfway through.
All good so far…
Just changing spacing.
Will the second half go as well?
Hey Evan can you show me how your motor cables look on this set up? Are they super squeezed?
So I went and did 6 miles around the neighborhood.
And hot diggity dog.
I love this board.
Also lucky I saw this little ditch before it was too late!
So yey for that.
However one of the things I had hoped is that moving things around would make the weird clicking go away, but I had no such luck.
I think it’s fine.
Feels fine…
It has sounded like this since I got these drives and I have taken them apart and redone them…
And did this and it is still there.
It really feels like it runs fine.
But the clicking is annoying…
