My Esk8s. A journal of sorts

Same man same.

When I got my first board, a backfire g3 for $600, I didn’t think this would turn into an obsession. Couple builds down and I want more :joy:

Sweet collection though!

You know…
I have not gotten a printer…
I have not even wanted to.
Too much to do and too little time as it is…
Don’t be telling me I’m slipping…

Having said that if you wanna print me enclosures for the Hosoi and Dinghy that would be just great

This is what happens when you don’t sell your boards like you wanna be the next @CiscoV

The Rally Cat is looking so good.
I love it.
It was my first good kicktail set up.

The 12s3p pack was starting to age and I finally decided to cough up the cash for some eboosted enclosures.

So the look is really changing with that nice enclosure.

So.
The upgrades:
Eboosted Coyote enclosure.
12s4p 30q pack I need to build.
Smart BMS ( I think I’ll have room)
Blacked out blue Caguamas.
New set of Zealous bearings.
BN 184 hanger in the back.
BN 40tooth pulleys( had Janux bolted ones)

I am still running the Unity (I think it was the first one I got, second batch from Ebertion)
And TB 6354 motors I had Battle hardened a while back…
Still using the old style BKB mounts.(needed shims with little washers)

I always like to see the difference between the drive wheels and the front wheels.

I love new bearings.
Takes me back to happy times when I was a kid getting new skateboard parts…

I have only gotten as far as putting the drive train back together.

I have not started on the pack…

I am super scared to line up and drill this enclosure…

I spray painted the baseplates and motor cans…
Not like @Linny does.
Just the most half ass job possible.
But it’s ok. It’s just a skateboard and will get trashed anyways.

So most of the fun stuff is done.

insane!!!
So much power in such a little board :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
Upgrades sound super nice and enclosure fits fine i would say from here :joy:
why dont you reverse mount the motors?
Would be so nice on the cat

Ok.
So the Rally cat got hung on the wall and all these parts came off the shelf.

I am bringing back the Rayne Crush soft flex.

If you guys recall this was on a build before. But it wasn’t really rideable because of how flexy it is.

So I got the hard flex version and that board is great.

So I slapped some parts on the soft flex to push it around in front of the house.

And I liked the way the board felt.
And I don’t really make good use of analog boards anymore.
So to really get joy out of it I thought I would slap some electronics on there.

When I made a pack for the MBS, the two Meepo ER packs I had in there became free agents.
Well. One of them is going here.
The plan is to make a lunch box thing for the back truck.

I did get new Kegels and Zealous for this.
Did I mention that makes me happy like a kid.

Let’s see how far I get with this one tonight.

Yeah Dude.
I still remember the first time I rode it when I first got it going.
It was a rocket.

I’m happy to be able to keep the motors forward to make full use of the tail.
But it is really fine on the coyote having it to the back.

This wall hanger looks awesome. What parts did you use to make it?

Personally I’m still a big fan of forwards mounted motors, on the right build they look better

Can never do rear motor again. Looks cool, lame to carry.

True, you have to rotate it and drag it from the front wheels lol

They are storage rail systems.
Come in really Handy. Easy to move from side to side and the big hooks are good for at boards.
I have probably 3 different brands in the garage from Lowes, walmart and even Aldi…

Nice! I use the rubbermaid version (fasttrack) and enjoy it as well.

Just started making 3d printed custom clips for it too.

Currently drilling a hole through my interior wall to steal power from a nearby outlet to make a nice charge rack.

Happy new year kids!!!

I don’t usually have clever names for any of my boards.

But this one at least gets a temporary nickname.

“The Rubbermaid Rider”

Slapped it together today.
Didn’t get to ride it yet as we are in a winter wonderland today.

It is weird.
Sometimes I forget how giant the wheels we use are…
Even the smallest esk8 wheel is such a monster next to a big longboard wheel.

I’m going to ask my father in law to make a little wooden box to put back there. But for now it was my best fitting tupperware…

Meepo ER(10s2p 40T) and Flipsky 4.20 dual plus in there with just enough extra room for snacks…

I don’t know if tupperware holds up…
But I could totally spray this in truck bed liner and live with it…

If it had to be permanent maybe wrap fiberglass around it

Pretty interesting mounting system. What’s the story on these plates? Are they 3D printed or did you have them made somewhere?

Looking like spare parts from some drones Rafael has lying around
