Ok.
So much went down yesterday.
Parts were shuffled and boards transformed.
I got part of a baseplate from Tito to change my MTB 300 Dualitys. To a flat board set up.
Thanks to Riptide Singularitys I have found a new love for my Matrix III trucks, and decided to o leave them in the Almost a Flux and do something else with these Dualitys.
I decided to slap the flat Dualitys on the Llama that currently has the 3 links.
The 3 links may end up on the Demonseed, or for sale… Not sure yet.
I wonder how much mushrooms Tito was on when he designed these trucks because they are such a trip.
But I totally think it’s cool that by buying an extra $75 part I can have a set of trucks I can go either on the mountainboard deck or on a flat deck.
Here they sit in their flat configuration.
I also decided to take my Meepo tires and put them on the Hubbas, to use on here.
I was hoping for a smaller diameter tire, And it’s a very small difference, I guess I’ll take it.
There goes the Neighborhood!!!
I love the clean look of the Dualitys.
Front was was easy… Time to take the back apart.
The pulley pullers did their job. So taking the three links off what’s uneventful.
Then I slapped the shiny new trucks on there.
I had to break out the angle grinder to grind off screws that were sticking off the back too much.
I had to actually switch over to the shorter Tito mounts that I had. Which I almost sent back…
I had lost a little circlip for one of my reacher Motors
It’s funny to see how the small sprocket is already getting worn down…
And finally for a very brief DIY is a disease moment…
I set up the front trucks with the hanger upside down so I had to disassemble them and put them back together…
So there it is the Llama now on Dualities.
I’m stoked on the look.
I only wrote it up and down the block so I can’t say much about it yet.
It does not have as tight of a turning radius as the flux on duality does.
But once I get more miles on it I’ll report more.
I had two goals switching from dualities to three links,
One was to reduce the wheelbase.
Two was to reduce the ride height.
Of course I didn’t take proper measurements before taking shitapart so I’ll never know…
But I think I made ever so slight improvements in both.
