My Esk8s. A journal of sorts

Ok, ok .
The Flux was a bit more work to harvest.

Luckily I got some help.

Next I ran into a bit of a bump…
I was not sure how to pull the pinion away from the motor.

I banged my head on the table for a while before I realized I could drive bolts past the plate to push on to the motor.

And cool. that started moving it.

And here is where I got stupid.
Pay attention kids.
Don’t be like this.

It was barely moving up so I get long ass bolts and the power drill and start bumping it up.

And off course I break a bolt and can’t get it out.
Fuck a duck…

So one of the holes is blocked now.
It may be possible for me to orient the plate in a way that it does not matter…
Wish me luck.

On the second drive I used shorter bolts and took my time and it went smoothly.

I have figured out better ways to do things and try to me more careful and such and such…
But I really am still impatient and hasty and have to just keep it moving all the time.

And it leads to screwing things up…

But I nothing major today so far. Just a bit of time lost.

I have all the parts separated and can get back to reassembly.

So that’s exciting stuff.
I have 3 boards to put together now.

I’m doing the Gravel Boi later on because there is more happening there.

I’m gonna call it a night.
But I wonder what will be next. The easier straight forward Khymera.
Or the more exciting Flux.

I’m really pumped about the Flux and I really hope this round of changes ends up getting it to a really good state.
