I’m not sure that it’s really about improving the performance, it’s about having more options to tune your ride
What is the difference that makes it clear they won’t work? Unless your trucks are tkp paris I don’t see an obvious reason they shouldn’t. I know boardnamics says his hangers will work with either paris or caliber baseplates so I would think it’s all interchangeable.
I was reading the description and at certain adjustments it helps with stability at higher speeds, which could be crucial. You think you’ll be able to install a pair on a board and give it a ride? If it’s good then I might as well should just buy it, I can always install it on the trucks when I get it in the future for a dual setup
The king pin bolt is slightly arched higher then the calibers I don’t know what kind the Paris trucks I got are.
I mean, yeah, you could, for example do 50 / 35 and that would give more stability.
Both of the boards that they’re going on are not ready to be built yet unfortunately, it’ll probably be a month before one is set up, and that one has angled tips
Damn, I was hoping you can just put it on a random board just for a little test and take it off, don’t think there’s a thread about the adjustables or how they ride
These are RKP: https://shop.paristruckco.com/collections/trucks/products/165mm-50-polished-v3

Also, there is a thread I found here trying to find out about baseplate compatibility where people seem to all think Caliber, Paris, and Randal are interchangeable: https://forum.esk8.news/t/wtb-us-canada-40-43-degree-caliber-ii-or-paris-baseplates/52562
To be entirely honest I’ve never swapped baseplates between brands, but from reading it seems like people on here have and they’re mostly interchangable.
Yah unfortunately a push board would not really do it justice, you’ve gotta be 30+ to see the effects of a 30/50 setup
The trucks will ride just fine, it really just depends on how you set it up though
You do have a point, I don’t think there’s definitive threads here talking about the benefits of adjustable, I’m much in the same boat on split angles, but I’ve heard people say that once they rode it they never went back.
One major incompatibility point is the pivot and pivot cup, since they are all slightly different from each other. It’s why Riptide pretty much has a separate pivot cup for each brand of truck and even different versions of the same truck, rather than a few universal ones.
Paris and Caliber parts are straight inter compatible actually so you’re definitely right
Not all Rkp work together yea exactly because of pivot and kingpin but in the case of Paris and Caliber it’s a no brainer.
Use Paris pivot in Paris baseplate for example and some good bushings for your Caliber hanger. Works out.
Stuff like BEAR trucks aren’t compatible with anything AFAIR. Or was it Aeon?
That’s good to know, I was seeing a simple Paris baseplate is 26$, I’m currently emailing the company back and forth and seeing if I can get a replacement. If that doesn’t work I’ll just do the Paris baseplate
Bear are not compatible with Caliber/Boardnamics/Paris
Randal works on caliber 2. Have a 35degree Randal baseplate with BN220 hanger on one of my builds.

I would pick a 50 degree one since my caliber II’s is 50
Choose whatever you like
Split angles FTW.
50/35 or 50/42 worth considering also…
For the split angles
Pretty sure torqueboards trucks fit any caliber 2 mounts
Yay for split angles
