MPCNC DIY Build

It’s been so long since I decided to build the MPCNC, guess I can wait till Black Friday to buy more stuff for something better!

yes, plus in the central channel that it’s normally empty, once you have them cut to length, you can poor epoxy granite. It will duplicate or triplicate the weight but absorbs so much vibration and reduce resonance. It’s a tremendous improvement.

I’ll have to start keeping an eye out and grabbing what I need slowly.

I have a shit Los of T slot, maybe I’ll sell that on eBay to buy the V slot!

(Haha auto correct made it V slit the first time and then V slut the second, shouldn’t be buying that online)

I would use sand and only fill it up halfway. The vibration of the maschine will let the sand dance

I have more v slot than I need… when you’re getting to building let me know, I’ll probably part with some cheap

Also for anyone else here, I have a ton of different limit switches, industrial quality ones, I’ll take some pics later, more than I’ll ever use…
Also… lol I got way too much linear rail, legit TSK, NHK

the guy that made the dremel CNC is now making a good one. He shares the parts. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rHl9UwlDZbE
https://indystry.cc/indymill/
from there is scaleable and you can mix the part with the woorkbee to fits your purpose. Principles are the same. The biffier, the heavier, the more rigid the better. Impossible to go wrong with it :slightly_smiling_face:
he put links of part in the description. There you can find linear rails and motors on the cheap side but still 1000 better than no have them.

this might be only interesting to me but I’m using a 10 Yr old(sitting in my closest for 10yrs) Thermaltake external water cooler for PC’s for the water cooling on the spindle :stuck_out_tongue:

18650 for size ref

ahahah that’s a good solution actually. I have seen used the same solution on an amazing build on youtube.

Apparently someone already did it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eVMOeIBSAo4 Add linear rail on the Y too and you have a nice little beast. Ball bearing would be the final touch.

Im looking at the omio lineair CNC’s, they both have linear rails and ball screws. Looks pretty potent for the money, especially the x6 2200 L. The x4 has a 800 W aircooled spindle. However, not sure if its enough for aluminium cutting, the smaller size does make it more rigid… The x6 has a 2.2 kw watercooled spindle and a larger workarea and larger collet sizes which makes it quite the beast but its almost 800 euros more. With a part cooling system it can be a real workbeast. And both have quite a small footprint which is ideal since I dont have a lot of space.

for the money omio is one of the best kit out there having x8 one of the top performing. You can find many videos on yputube for both the machine. Aluminum no problem. They are really a nice kit. You have to go to DIY in order to make something similar or better for the same price otherwise is the way to go.

This thread was made for me. If anyone has any questions at all, more than happy to help.

I can see the difference in feed and speed  The omio worked really well as production machine. It paid off itself. The best way to use a machine.

Saw some of your videos already, you got them set up quite nicely!! When I get my cnc expect some questions

I used that thing hours a day.

Omio is extremely good.

defitely for a ready to go machine at that price I do not see a competitor. The last pics should be hung on the wall. Amazing

It would be even better to fix the rail wagon and let the rails move.
