So heres a question - I find that after about 15 minutes or so of riding on mine that my rear foot starts to cramp up. Specifically on the arch. Anyone else find that they had or have this issue?
I could walk 10 miles and never feel a cramp like this, same thing on the motorcycle, from Fargo to Minneapolis no cramps what so ever.
Happens to everyone, you will get used to it with time as your weird foot muscles you never use strengthen up. I just changed trucks and am having the same issue again because my stance is a bit different.
I’ve tried all the pairs I have par for my dress shoes.
Shit Kickers (high Heel, more arch support)
Running Shoes (UnderArmor Lightweight, lots of cushion)
Generic Tennies (My old gym shoes some 20 dollar jobbers from walmart)
I have noticed that its gotten better. Reminds me of playing the guitar for the first few months. You want to keep practicing but the pain from pressing those strings… just wont go away
We often put more weight on the rear foot during riding without thinking about it. When my rear foot starts hurting I put most weight on the front foot or ride fakie (or reverse), that helps instantly. Sometimes if I think about it during riding I try to balance the weight between both feet.
Of course a too tight binding could lead to pain, too.
I was having the same issue with the foot until I moved the mounting bracket back, first ride after felt 100x better! Much more relaxed and the bindings are just tight enough to still be able hop out as well
OK, tire tread direction, I’ve seen it oriented many different ways.
Some of the builds here have 2 facing one direction and the other 2 facing another, my guess is because (for example) the primo alpha tires are fancy and they want to have the words on the outside instead of pointing the tread the same way which would mean you need to flip 2 of the tires and obscure the logo on them.
I myself had to disassemble the wheels when I got them to swap the tires around because I wanted the tread to face the same way, and I prefer tread to be the same vs logo.
Is this just because it would cost more to make 2 tires one way, and 2 the other?
Ryux’s board is a good example of the different direction tread with the logo on the outside.
The tread pattern should be oriented so it takes water from the road and shoots it away from center of the wheel. This is hard to explain in words. Basically the treads fan out the more the tire rolls. Seems to be much more prominent on road tires and less on off road patterns.
See how these side treads might help wick away water or small debris?
Why has no one made reversible bindings? I wanted to try so many boards in Colorado but didn’t feel comfortable taking them out riding goofy. Same with goofy riders wanting to try my board.
