Mountainboarding Questions (Safety Gear, Riding Techniques, etc.)

True on the Trampa trucks.
On the rear though that space is usually taken by the wheel gear/pulley so no spacer is required.

For gears yes. The pulleys and sprockets I had so far never had a support bearing so there was a spacer required non the less on the rear.

Ahh this entire time I thought you meant outside of the wheel spacer. Reread and makes sense now.

Yes, as Andy clearly layed out, MBS doesn’t use an in wheel spacer.

Around 1000 meters altitude and 20km distance.

When I was on the top I had around 21 % of battery left so I decided to go back down… I ended up with around 42.7V when I was back home.

Glad I had the bumm protector - saved me some pain today for sure.

I bet you are glad you didn’t get an evolve , aren’t you?
Welcome to the dark side.

Haha yeah… took me a couple of days to admit my failure - but glad I did admit to it.
Most of my mistakes just happen because of impulse shopping… same goes for the unity focbox… I just bought it - didn’t research much… and now that I got it finally (today) I sold it to a guy in Sweden - hope he has fun with it…

Happens to all of us.
It’s not that the evolve is a bad board, just that there is so much more you can do with a proper MTB.
Wait till you start jumping etc. That’s where the real fun (and pain :joy:) begins.

might be still some time till I will jump… still having problems with left turns as I tend to fall over easily when leaning left… but thats why I have the bumm protector anyways. Also found wobbles quite dangerous when going downhill… a little steering left and correcting to the right and you are gone :woman_facepalming:

A lady stopped me in the park the other day because I guess I was kicking up dust on a dirt trail and annoying hikers. When I pass I try to keep the throttle under control to avoid wheelspin but I guess it’s still bad. Have you had this problem?

I slow down a lot around people but it seems like dirt is going into the air no matter what, especially if I’m accelerating from slow.

didn’t have this problem to be honest… But I am more on Hiking Trails than in the park… Its all more humid in the forest I guess and I am always very considerate when passing people

I guess when I get my bigger battery I can take some less used trails. But yah, now that someone pointed it out to me I’ve been much more considerate.

I guess a bigger battery would be more fun since then I could really go on the mountain top - but you can’t have it all… Next time I will start my trip from higher up - I don’t want my board to get heavier

So basically how do you guys make sure you don’t fall over when doing turns ? I usually try to keep a very low stance and put the arms in the opposite direction to balance the weight but sometimes especially on forest trails the board just flips to the side - or I don’t get a tight enough turn…

Also I would really like to be able to use the throttle to use some “drifting” to make turns more effective but my skill level is not there yet.

Any input ?
