Is it comfortable to hold? It seems pretty thick compared to the MadMunkey but I could be wrong
Also I am jealous of your print quality haha

Changed my setting to Motor max 60 A and battery max 50 A after our discussion today.
Had some dangerous encounters not sure if they are related - but when I went uphill on throttling the current dropped to 0A and I almost lost balance a couple of times… never had this before…
Could this be related to changing the setting ? If so I will go back to my settings from before and risk it because this from high throttle to none when going very steep uphill is quite dangerous
I recorded it
not sure if this was one of the spots… but Duty Cycle was 50% yet the Amp at 0
On a positive note - my cooling works quite well - the cooled motor feels way way cooler on the outside… However the coil temp inside only went down 2°C - but for sure an improvement overall!
Well this print quality is easily achievable with most DLP printers
However if the remote falls down on a hard floor it will shatter like glass (as you could see on my other pics haha)…
It is thick - well maybe but easy to hold in my opinion
Those are usually the tracks I ride on - sometimes very big rocks or holes appear… and you can’t really tell how steep it is in the picture… But yeah - never had any traction problems with my board the trampa tires are just great
Did you just now switched to the modded GT2b? If so calibrate again, or if you never calibrated it for a while do it
The printed case allows more travel than the original controller case, so the ppm value goes over the maximum when braking all the way, since you lowered the current you are pushing the braking to the extreme of travel
I was having the same problem, took me a while to figure it out
Thanks but I calibrated it yesterday and my problem is not the braking anymore it is the throttling…
When throttling 50-80% it will stop throttling instantly and then resume… almost throws me off balance sometimes…
Can you try it looking at the VESC tool to see if the GT2B really drops or it’s just the vesc cutting out?
And also no faults thrown?
It’s hard enough to keep the balance without holding a phone in my hand quite actually and it is so random that it is hard to predict - not sure if the VESC tool will show it or if my eyes are fast enough to catch it.
No errors thrown the whole ride
I don’t believe lowering the motor and battery current would lead to this but who knows?
Your terrain seems similar to the terrain where I live.
Here, where I am currently on holidays, it is very loose, the gravel is a very thick layer sometimes and it is impossible to get any traction. The wheels sink in the gravel and the board is left standing on the truck hangers.
I hope to find some better trails though.
Nice Evolve
Red shoes ruined everything.
Haha yes this guy got it
If the problem is the ppm you can do the test with the wheels in the air
Or just hold full brake with the board stopped, and see if it losses braking
I never lost braking the last time I went for a ride… I only had the cutoffs when throttling uphill and mostly when throttling more than 60%
So it felt almost like some sort of power or current cutoff - but of course since it was going to 0A it could also have been a PPM Dropout that just happened uphill by coincidence.
I updated my metr app so I should be able to log PPM as well
So printed a second cooling rotor and will hopefully go for a ride today or tomorrow and log the PPM to finally get hold of my cutoff problem.
I am not sure what else could be the problem with no errors logged.
Try and get some motor temp differences now that you have one drawing air to the can and the other is drawing away. Definitely interested in the data.
So all in all today’s try was quite ok… no Cutoffs going up the mountain… however when going back down I had one throttling and two braking cutoffs around this area:
Not really sure about the details though… I also can’t view the PPM Records in the App itself only if I upload it - is this normal ?
