its all relitive

I’m looking to buy Flipsky 6374 motors for my Boardnamics 220mm hangars and Boardnamics Caliber II 63mm Motor Mounts. My concern is whether or not the motors would actually fit. I know Boardnamics states on his page that 6380 is max size. But from my measurements it looks like it may fit as a tight squeeze. Has anyone tried this?

At least the TB6380 fit the 220 hanger nicely.

I love those TB6380 I have them on my evo on pneumatics. I need a motor with a longer shaft for my Bro though. any recommendations? I have to fit it to the trampa open belt drive , which is nice but needs a longer shaft. I’m not too keen to go for a trampa motor. Any suggestions for a motor similar to the 6380 with longer shaft? Trampa seems to have 38.5 mm sticking out while the TB6380 has 34mm.
which is strange, because even 38.5 must be short on the open belt drive with 20mm belt.

Do you have a photo of the shortness? Typically if the shaft makes it over halfway through your pulley, things can be fine, assuming some details like proper retention and the key making contact with both keyways.

thanks, i’ll assemble it today again with my 6380’s to see how short it was. I believe it was already quite short with the 15mm pulley but i’d love to go for the 20s

@approachinglogic suggested this ones:

Has anybody got experience with them? Specs don’t sound bad to me. Would be for a mountainboard though and i’m quite used to the power of the TB6380’s now. :grin:

TB6380s will definitely be more powerful, my suggestion was on the basis of them having the longer shaft you mentioned earlier!

How is the low end torq from thr 6380’s with the 110’s (im assuming you run those wheels)?

Got fs6384 190kv with 15/40 and the low end torq is rubbish. However, they wind up to a pretty crazy speed, around 37-40mph which is more than I can handle so far. Would rather have quick off the mark and hill climbing torq. Was wondering if those motors you have do that and what gearing you use also, cheers

I’m on the hunt for new motors. I want something good. I have flipsky 6384s on my build currently and with less than 50 miles on them the bearings are shot in of the motors.

I want to stay around this size too. What’s out there?

I went from FS6384 190kv to FS6374 140kv the newer lower kV motor has way more torque@16S. More than I need. Planning on moving to 18 teeth pulley from 16

I’d try to find some ceramic bearings for your motors. But I have no idea where to find those.

Yeah I ran the 110’s for a while, then decided that I don’t want to feel these roads around me that well so I got some Bergs. I had 15/44 pulleys. 80A max for each motor. The low end torque was amazing with that setup. The motors are TB6380 190kv.

That be a very noice battery@160amps

Cheers bro. I’m assuming 12s also?

Yeah 12S4P P42A, battery amps set to 100A total.
