Remotes with AA/AAA batteries catastrophic failure point:
So I crashed a few times at the weekend in Stroud and ever since my mini remote has made a rattling sound.
This was in September and after my last ride a couple weeks ago my remote didn’t want to turn on.
I replaced the batteries and it still didn’t turn on
Just now I decided to look at the remote again and noticed that one of the tabs for the AA battery was too compressed and wasn’t making contact with the cell.
Which is super scary, after bending the tab back in place the cell fits tightly as normal and the remote works again.
The rattling sound inside my remote has now gone

VX1 is solid, The puck takes some time getting used to.

Put some hot glue behind the tabs for the batteries so they can’t bend out.
