Mini Baja coming soon!

that´s even more strange as after the last trouble freeboard didn´t want to sell them to anybody who don´t use them on a freeboard…and espcialy not for esk8 stuff.
but maybe it was just a time where they have been pissed of because of leiftch using there design and now changed there mind and happy about the sales…

To be perfectly honest, I don’t know if Baja have sold many of the bindings. They did recommend to me when I asked to save myself a few bucks and order them myself. So I did!

That’s weird that they would be advertising the bindings and offering them as an option without having some agreement set up with Freebord. Maybe someone with some business sense was able to explain to them how stupid it is to cut off product sales to an entire industry that’s expanding by the day.

Next time I speak with Ale I’ll ask him.

Was definitely a fun ride yesterday, when I first saw the prototype I was convinced that it needed to be 4wd but after riding it, it is awesome just with 2.

can you also ask if they have something in russia? I mean some kind of reseller or place where you can try there boards out.
Kind a tried already, but don´t get any reply.

I didn’t found any russian resellers, that stock Bajaboards besides their logistic center in Bellheim, Germany, where you can test it and buy it there locally.

I could build 2 trampas for a specced up baja s2. Its nearly 4 grand aus. Its got to be twice as good. I almost bought the G4. Almost but it was less than 3 grand at the time (last year) Tempting. This is far too exxy although its sexy

see what I did there? Hey? :sunglasses:

Are they still using cast parts on the drive train?

Yep. @Andy87 I’ll try find out if there are any customers in Russia

I´m mostly interested in how the steering is feeling and how the motors handle the weight, how smooth the esc is running etc.
If i look at the specs it´s not really promising with the dual 6355/74 but the lates insta video from @glyphiks looked kind a good. so, yeah, if you want to speak about something you first need to try it out by your own.

George told me he had to cast the bulkheads to simplify the build process so he could make the whole thing cheaper. I told him cast things break cnc don’t. He then promised to build mine with the cnc bulheads and then disappeared off the face of the earth. Eventually i got fed up and asked for my deposit back and still nothing…

Don’t get me wrong I’m not hating on Baja because inside every esk8r is a little kid that goes fuck yeah I need that. We are secretly a bit in love with these crazy machines but the price is far too high especially for the baby one when they were supposed to be getting cheaper. The parts certainly are.

Tell me about it. My tree stump escapade is costing me near $500. But… the same accident on a regular mountain board would have ruined a wheel, the front truck, and likely the deck too. So in that respect, it’s probably not that much dearer.

@Andy87 I ride my G4X the same way I was riding the S2 in the video, but the S2 is a lot easier to throw around. If I had my time again, Id probably still get the G4X over the S2, but it would be a damn hard decision.

The S2 is nearly half the weight of the G4X and definitely handles better. With 8inch wheels and the bigger motor controllers, it would probably perform just as well as the G4x.

@sk8l8r has smashed his G3 into all sorts of nastiness. It has had some major impacts. I get what you are saying but the only person who has broken a trampa deck is @rich the trampinator
They are simple compared. Take a fair bit of front damage to cost 500 bucks. All good brother. You have the thing and theres a bit of me that is jealous but price wise they are not good. Repair wise they are not good. Perspective. You kill an evolve bms. $150. Charge only. 10 bucks if you can get one. You can’t so suck it up. Evolve are involved too. Its under cover but they are.

I’m thankful for it. It’s a heap of fun that is way too much maintenance ad costs way too much to fix.

Hence the reason I am here. To build something better! I bought the Baja cos I wanted awesome NOW. It was a band aid solution to a hole that may never be filled…

Now we have you. Now you understand my brother. We can go down the rabbit hole of emtb together. @Andy87 has been on me for ages to build a “proper” esk8
Not far away.

Probably should get that income protection insurance I’ve been meaning to get.

hahahaha yeah me too. my best advice to keep you alive is to use open bindings. As much as all you guys are shitty on Freebord, their bindings are fucking sick.

I’ve been trying out my MBS board analogue with the f5 bindings, and it hurts.

I think we three guys could fall together into the rabbit hole of “proper” esk8s. And I’m already falling.

Yep. Falling fast. As is the bank account.

 Actually it’s cracked and glued with epoxy so my next mission is to really break it apart with jumping. Build thread coming soon :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
