Mini Baja coming soon!

You will be making your own trails with this bad boy. No rock or bushes will stop you. Not a Subaru more like a 4x4 raptor. Lol. Not recommended for road unless you change the wheel set up. Also a whole new drive system if the money is there for it.

baja is best off trail

i don’t enjoy mine on-road very much, these new 8" wheels might make it feel more like a skateboard

So live axles then.

Something to that extent.

FWIW was over at the Bajaboard workshop today. Axle to axle the S2 is exactly the same length as a Trampa MTB, but overall length is shorter due to the inboard motors. It’s lighter, but at over 15kg I still wouldn’t want to carry it. Dragging is fine though, since the front-end is light.

They get a lot heavier the more kms you have to push/pull/carry/drag them for.

nothing worse than a several mile walk of shame with a broken bajaboard behind you - I had that in snow last year

This was my second this year. First was my fault, I could handle that. This one wasn’t my fault so it was much more annoying

They are using Sanyo 20700B for the battery.

has anyone actually pre-odered one? I’m very tempted but as my second Bajaboard I don’t think I can justify it to myself

I’m finally going to have a fang on it on Sunday. I’ll let you know whether you want it or not

I KNOW I want one, first ride of my haggy wheels on my evo on local pavements all I could think of was “I need to order that new baja”

You’ve already got a 4wd right? Justification is a 2wd Baja! Gotta catch em all

I have a G3 4WD, I was one of early customers who bought one after the failed Kickstarter - something I would NEVER consider these days lol

Looks like you like it!?!:thinking:
What’s your impression compared to his big brother?

It’s a little beast. It handles far better than the big boy, but I think that with this would also likely limit this board to somewhat lighter riders. I was 90kg with gear today, don’t think you’d wanna go much past 100.

Power is good at speed but lacking torque at takeoff with the 10inch wheels. That was with 6374s and the more powerful motor controllers. I didn’t go for a top speed cos I wasn’t properly geared up. But I reckon it would have been just over 60kph.

The other board with the 8inch wheels, 6355s and smaller motor controllers had great torque but only managed a top speed of about 50kph.

All in all I was really surprised how great it felt under foot. Rode really well, agility far better than big bro, had enough power to handle moderate/rough offroad was light enough to jump (I jump my 30kg G4X so this point is moot) … The brakes were a bit light for my liking, but I’m used to 4wd braking. They were definitely adequate.

Great board, was really impressed. If i weren’t building a couple of boards i would get one.

So, I guess Freebord is playing nice with Bajaboard to offer their bindings for sale, huh? After all that BS about hating us Esk8ers and not wanting to sell to us. Bajaboard must have made them an offer they couldn’t refuse. Sell outs.

it´s always all about money…

The bindings on the red one are mine and the other set belong to Alessandro from Baja. As far as I’m aware, there is no affiliation with Freebord.

I believe that if you order bindings with your board, Baja just order them from freebord and then send them to you.
