I would contact support but before that use the search to find similar cases like this one. Do you have your vesc set to UART, UART & PPM or just āOFFā?
cant even check that setting, via cable its unresponsive and the vesc tool newest wont open on windows.
so theres not much of a way to check if ppm uart is on. last it would have been,
since I updated to vesc6, it seems like some rides are not recording correctly, I get the correct ride times, but no used wh, distance and no telemetry graphs, anyone know if this is related? Iām on a bioboardā¦
Please send pictures of how everything is wired up.
itās a bioboards p2s, everything is stock wired and worked well until I changed motors and only one of the new ones detected sensors, so we had to upgrade to v6 to get silent hfi, now I have issues with metr recording rides it seems - looks like the pause feature is causing issues now, so I disabled it, had empty records with 10 or 21 hours ride time, not even I am able to ride 10 hours straight will keep you posted if this sorted the issue out. I also donāt turn always turn off my board which might complicate things further. currently I get about 30% of my rides recorded correctly.
Any idea why my metr pro can refused to connect to my phone while Iām riding? Could it be to not mess up the recording which was running?
Unity on 5.2
Metr can beta unit with all the latest firmware
Context: started my ride and let metr auto record (phone not connected). Later while actively driving i opened the metr app to see how much voltage i had left but the real time screen only showed " xx connected" but all field for voltage, motor amps etc were all at 0 and nothing was actually showing up. I did not try to see if other tabs like expert work, i just put the phone back and continued the ride. (I did force close the app once to see if that helps but it didnāt.)

I also have issues with some recordings having a messed up date/duration where the record spans over a year?
This one shows September 7th to August 13th (dates are switching near the end)
log_2024-08-13.txt (1.2 MB)
This one shows 0 minutes duration. Likely from the GPS not working properly as metr keeps switching between it detecting one and then it being disconnected later in the ride (not gps lock, disconnected as in no gps physically connected, even if the connectors are glued together) The module not being detected can sometimes be fixed by just restarting the board.
Similar as the first one. September 9th to august 15th
Aaand another thing is that on one ride (havenāt checked it since) had some sort of bottleneck?
Usually the real time tab is really responsive in refreshing the numbers but on that ride they kept lagging. Not sure whoās the culprit. Bluetooth? Metr can? Unity? Itās not something i had happen before.
If i stopped riding and waited for like 10 seconds then it would become smooth again, until i started riding again.
Log from that ride.

Any chance of adding the new Pixel Watch 3 to the list of approved devices?
