The first production batch of hangers were not properly Hardened to spec. They are being exchanged out.

slower when not ugly?
It you count podiums it starts to look better
Production board race so the boards were available for general purchase at the time of the race according to the rules. So this must’ve been final production. Otherwise things start getting shady. So definitely final production.
Pics from The Prototypes raced at esk8con.
Boards were assembled the day before qualifying.
Proof of concept doesn’t usually represent with the fit and finised pieces finalized. Was glad for zip ties that day.
Actually I think it’s a very nice board! Very good work here from you and Meepo!
I do appreciate when e-boards have a little DIY in their design.
Maybe a weird question, but are these boards capable of light all terrain ride?
To perform that, is it possible to set motor position a bit higher?
Congratulations for your job, I was astonished by the video showing you to make truck parts by hand! I thought it was CNC’d!
Seems like MAD has thrown a spanner in the MLR build
Can’t post a link but it’s on Instagram on mad.esk8
If MAD has the rights to the 3 links, does that mean the MLR will be cancelled or shipped with alternative trucks?
From Instagram:
Unfortunately, the relationship between Meepo and MAD ESK8 has come to an end. Meepo violated critical elements of our agreement.
As a result, we will no longer be able to release the MAD Links in July.
The relationship was simple. Meepo manufactures trucks for MAD ESK8 at their cost in exchange for the opportunity to sell a variant for themselves. Moe would test and approve the trucks prior to sale to ensure safety and reliability. Both companies would start selling their versions of the trucks at the same time.
Instead, Meepo sold trucks while still in the design phase prior to safety testing. Moe and I insisted sales stop. The hangers had the wrong specifications and were bending. After that, they ran a pre-sale without notifying either myself or Moe and began shipping trucks in the last few weeks. The trucks posted by Ruxx, on the wall of La Jolla Bike and Skate, arrived approximately 2 weeks ago. These trucks have an older version of the motor mount plate that requires pulling the motor pulley out a few millimeters and may have a hanger that will bend. Lastly, completion of the MAD Links was pushed back to August-September allowing Meepo to have months of sales before MAD ESK8 could even start.
We know MAD Links was highly anticipated and understand the disappointment within the community. My team and I continue to work on a new variant of the truck with improvements to the current design. Most importantly, we will not use customers as unknowing test subjects and will ensure extensive testing is performed prior to release.
Big thanks to the community for your continued support as we continue working towards an amazing set of trucks.

According to a comment in response to this question on instagram, the MLR + stooge deal is separate from the Mad 3links deal. Don’t know the details but I think the answer is no, it will not be cancelled.
Gotta lose some confidence in that deal with what went down tho…
Maybe woulda been better to order a Chinese premade in bulk without trucks and throw local made 3links on them and call it a day. Keep the IP close to the chest
Yeah I’m willing to bet it was the mass machining costs that they faced combined with the potential to dip toes in the meepo client pool that was most tempting. This story is way too familiar, sadly.
“Yes friend, we can make for that price!”
Meanwhile… Very much not friends.
I was planning on asking what the difference between the threelinks was given the price diff, but clearly thats the difference ![]()

Waiting with popcorn to see what words are wrapped around this if stooge continue with Meepo without MAD… thats some sour tadting lolly
MAD ending its relationship with Meepo should have no bearing on production of the MLR. Meepo has appropriated the trucks originally designed for MAD.
Nah, I heard Kieran is a standup businessman of good morals
