Maverick | Lou Deck | 10s1p P42A | CGB Customs Truck | DV4s | Not Neohubs | Puck V2

So, I got a Lou Board from a nice Russian eskater that lives in Singapore, and apparently he has two of the older Arcboards models and an Onsra board, but anyways i snagged this board, although slightly faulty but that’s okay because i’ll be using the deck only.

Now, I have not figured out what to pair with the deck yet so i’m down to listen to all options. Be it a single belt drive with a small motor, or a single unlimited hub, what type of truck, help me decide!

Okay, the board is home, and will be dismantling everything.

The lid… seems to be held on by adhesive/velcro only. I wonder how should i go about attaching the lid to the deck, as well as keeping it water/dust resistant.

The deck has decent sized space actually, it’s 10cm wide, and about 34cm wide (before the slope up). However the depth is 21.5mm. Ideally a 10s1p P42A for this would be pretty nice, but 21.5mm might be abit too tight, so if i can’t get it to fit then we’ll go with 18650.

Cram some lipos in it and loaded unlimited hubs? Also if you want nice trucks for it… IDEA 150 surf rodz TKP’s are quite clean and should rail match that setup.

I’ve got a set of Hypertrucks that would pair perfectly :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Probably some insanely coarse griptape and maybe a footstop or something to feel a bit more planted on the small deck

Post updated! I am currently window shopping and looking around… Anyone has a loaded unlimited hub lying around? Just one…

@mr.shiteside The stock lid is quite grippy already actually. The lid has these textured + shaped shapes all over, and i might paint truck bedliner over that.

@frame maybe

Think he might have sold his. Iz possible

You could go with p28a cells, they are 18650, a 10s1p is an idea, that and one or two hubs motors, I’ve ridden some Meepos a while back, they are quite nice.

I did not forget about this. Just deciding on what to build with it.

The small heatsink is removed so theres enough depth from front to back. What configuration to go with…

What’s the smallest dual ESC commercially available now… Doesn’t have to be V6, V4 works too.

Was looking at these.

These claim to be for esk8, but am skeptical.

The one with the second link is in this video, holy crap it’s tiny. Power i’m not so worried yet. Just trying to see how much space i can squeeze out in the deck.

Okay, I’ve decided to get the DV4 as the ESC.

If a 10s2p P28A fits on there, then great. If not, the plan will be a 10s1p P42A, and i’ll make a custom fiberglass lid with a recess cutout for the pack so it’s not under as much pressure.

More to come once I get hold of the parts.

Yes, cats out of the bag. This is another LDP ish build.

For the trucks its a CGB customs front and rear torsion tail. Drivetrain will be these sussy hubs that are seemingly identical to neohubs and or loaded hubs.

Why front wheel drive?

Where did those hubs come from!?

Are those hubs for sale online anywhere? I have plans to make a nice hubmotor shortboard with a splitable pack to make it airline friendly, but I haven’t decided what hub motors to use yet.

Running harder wheels in front is more ideal for ldp.

Normal wheels on the rear grip better than hubs when accelerating at turns. Also when accelerating and braking it feels more responsive compared to rear to me.

This is what I’ve experienced riding the heretic thus far

This looks so sick. Almost like a stooge chassis but its a lil boi.

Wheel to wheel distance is 840mm, not too bad actually.

Don’t mind the R spec wheels, its just what i have on hand right now. Probably will go with black dyed Caguamas or similar sized wheel.

Gonna second this, where are those hubs from and how much for a set, those would be sick for a lightweight build

They’re called super secret hub motors for now. Got them for 150usd each through a friend.
