Omg I only just realized you’re doing a 16s12P battery. That is HUUUUGE! Wouldn’t you prefer more ground clearance and less weight?

The answer to this question is NO! NeVER!

Wow. So i’ve only just skimmed over this thread, but i just want to say a few things

  • i think you are crazy
  • that battery is too big
  • i feel like a 3d printed enclosure for such a huge battery is a terrible idea
  • your deck designs look great, can’t wait to see them come to life
  • your battery is too big
  • i think you are crazy

… that said, i think you are crazy and your battery is too big. Have you considered running a smaller permanent battery with an optional auxiliary battery? Because I think that battery will be too big.

Hey Al, you think his battery big enough? I agree…even with the hard flex, many risers will be needed to avoid bottoming out on every bump

Oh that was my other thought.

Somewhere in the beginning of the thread it was mentioned that ‘X’ height riser will give ‘X’ height more ground clearance. This will not be true as the deck tips are angled… so X height riser will give A more ground clearance plus B more wheelbase and “do some fucking pythagoras” more ground clearance

That battery is insane, why not throw 9 or 10 inch wheels on and get more clearance? Not like range will be an issue.

Heard it all before, just wait and see… I guess I’m crazy. I wanted to get 9inch tires but they’re out of stock from mbs rn. May need more risers for 8s :man_shrugging: I will be forced to have risers with the 3d printed attachments I am attaching to the trucks - like mount for headlight, grab handle (or I could attach mount on top side but I think that might look ugly with davega). I appreciate your concern, but I’m going for it.

@EreTroN was correct when he told me that the holes for the model are off. I need to remake my graphic. The curvature of the deck skews things too. I’m thinking I will make the vinyl in 3 parts. I will buy griptape and spray paint for the yellow parts - wont vinyl print the yellow parts. The shape is also a little off which is why I have a larger border around it for tolerance. Whats important is I remake the holes for the trucks accurately and use that to align the ends when I go to stick it on, then trim the excess where the shape is off. I’ll go with either of these two.

@Takachi14 which one?

Added the proper holes using the spacing from the matrix ii model I had and verified with my dagega spacer. Very confident with holes. This is what I meant by 3 parts. Will remove empty space in between to decrease print area. Or may fill with extra stark industries stickers so I can stick them onto things

.
The middle sticker will be the hardest to put on because there are no guides on the deck. Though, since I am cutting out the middle of it I can use that point to align with the centre of the deck - added this thing in the middle as a guide.

Waited so many months for matrix iis :sob: finally!
I wanted 9inch tires but they’re sold out. Definitely not enough clearance without risers. I ordered these yellow 8s then they called me and said there are only 3 left :sob: but they have a 4th, the display one. literally got the last available one  3 came in mbs packaging, the 4th was in a Ziploc :joy: and the shade of yellow is perfect for iron man! It was meant to be

About to spend another $100 just on spray paints, primer, top coat :sob: when will my wallet have peace :sob:
Also I got rid of the yellow part on the stark logo. Replaced with dark red. Even though that yellow matches with tires and also matches with a spray paint I found. Since I’ll be putting sperate sprayed griptape ontop I’m going to match with the real gold colour for iron man. I’ve put in too much time not to make it accurate, gold > yellow.

Fingers crossed! Never made a vinyl graphic before so I hope it turns out okay.

Spent 2 hours applying these stickers perfectly. Been very meticulous with everything. Still waiting on my nickel but apparently it’s in my country for the last 2 weeks. Should have been here a month ago! I could be close to done my build now if my nickel arrived then
