Did you consider the version with a clip?
Might not be easy to seal to enclosure tho

Interesting; didn’t know those existed.
For other builds I’ve solved the problem by lengthening the wire and attaching it to the deck so it’s not being tugged on.
It does look like the latch may be in the way; not sure.

Some I use the little wire clamps, “vinyl coated half clamps”
Others I use cable ties
