Revival time. my iPhone removed the rideunlimited app over the winter. Now the app isn’t even available on the app store - any one else dealing with this issue? If you still have the app, make sure to keep it installed locally!!!

This is why open source or at minimum some kind of documentation allowing maintenance and repair is so important. If we can’t even maintain older tech it’s just disposable junk after it loses support and trying to build off of the success of past projects becomes starting over from scratch. The real reason people keep using vesc even though it has never really gotten a esk8 focused branch since unity - though luckily many esk8 features are in the standard version

Hello,
I have bought a used Loaded Unlimited setup on a Loaded Omakase with the original hub motor.
I’m experiencing a strange issue with one of the motors. The motor cable exits the side of the hub through a rubber strain relief/grommet. During rides, the cable gradually twists around the axle because the part where the cable exits the motor appears to rotate.
As far as I understand, the cable should remain stationary relative to the axle, but somehow the cable outlet or internal retaining ring seems to be turning, causing the motor cable to wind up over time. This happens slowly and gradually over time. I was actually able to ride for a long time today.
Has anyone had an similar issue?
My guess is that you need to tighten the truck axle nut more so it doesn’t rotate. Do you have the cone washers that come with the kit?

Yeah, this. I’ve seen a few users have them torqued too loose and they slip while braking and rip the wires out

Nordlock washers are the best, i got a set for my unlimited hubs and haven’t had them lose torque since.
