lemme see them drag race!

I always set traction control. I increase the max erpm difference to 7500+ erpm which is something like 5mph on my setup. With higher value it is not noticable when turning but helps in low traction scenarios

Hmm interesting. I’ve always heard of vesc traction control being downright dangerous on 4wd but I’ve never bothered to use it on 2wd cuz I thought it just sucked. You’ve not had any issues with braking on it?

That’s an interesting theory

Is it actually jerky? I can’t imagine how a smooth throttle is more important on the street than it would be on a high powered board on the track.

I run front and rear independently so only left to right is canbus/traction control. Haven’t had issues even with 4wd go kart that often goes on two wheels and comes back down under power.

Side note, an interesting thing about rc car escs is that they basically have traction control with their duty cycle control but there is minimal erpm difference between left and right.

I had it happen on my 8 inch offroad wheels too  wish there was a wheel where it didnt happen.

i’ll letcha know eventually

It’s pretty unpleasant imo, especially as the rider trying not to get bucked off since that esc wasn’t made for humans to ride

Get over it dude. We get you dont like rc esc’s, you said it many times in a thread about launch times.

on vesc*

Changed my gearing to enable me to get a 0-40mph time in. Have upped amps slightly, increased duty cycle limit start to 90% (from 85%) and running my puck remote in reverse to eliminate built in throttle curve. Let’s see if I can get a VESC based board up in top tier even if it is 4wd :crossed_fingers:

Bloody so close to 40mph but still cant hit it. Im 0.3kph off haha.

Anyway, happy with the 100m time i guess. Max power not bad.

Next step is to chuck my 70A grooved BRPs on that are 5mm bigger. I’ll hit that magic 40mph mark then!

Dannng - that’s nuts. I’m about to get kicked off the board, guess its time to do some more speed runs lol

Total respect for trying to hit 40. Doing 0 to 30 runs is hard enough as is, 0 to 40 is serious balls

What remote you got on there?
