How proven is the DV6 Pro? Worth the money vs something like stormcore or those new SKP ones?

DV6 pro has a good reputation around here. The SKP Solo is for higher voltage setups 14s, 16s, 18s.

lol you’ll get there on another build, for now just enjoy your board as is. My cruiser is still a 12s and I can still hit 40mph

12s is fineeee. More the merrier. You can still have a great time on lower voltages. Especially with mountainboards where you don’t have the traction for it offroad.

That InfinitySink can’t arrive soon enough…

I’ll be installing the new Reacher 205kv 6485s as well as the heatsink in the next week or so, whenever the sink gets here.

Is there good riding at this spot? I travel up to SCCA/UW Medicine every 3 months for my post treatment cancer evaluations. I’ve thought about bringing my board and looking for some nice bike paths.

We’ve got the Interurban trail around here which is a great bike path. Around Picnic Point there isn’t a whole lot except roads, but the pavement is nice and traffic isn’t so bad.

Next time you’re in the area let me know and I can show you some fun routes I like!

Sounds good. I’ll actually be up there in 2 weeks, but probably won’t be able to bring my board. Maybe the trip after that, which would be some time in May.

Took my board out for it’s maiden voyage with the new motors + heatsink, and subsequently had my highest speed fall in history

Could use some help diagnosing this – was going 41-42mph, full throttle, on a slight downward slope, when suddenly one side felt like the motor cut out or something and I was sent into an immediate uncontrollable wobble. I fell off pretty much instantly.

Any idea what could’ve caused this? Pretty pissed, this is the first time I’ve had a fall that broke both me and my board… one of my front axles snapped off and one of my BN hubs is mangled. Board probably slammed a curb after I fell…

I need to be able to trust riding moving forward :sob:

Damn, sorry dude. Hopefully you’re not too broken
Do you happen to have logging of the ride?

You’re gonna want to inspect everything from phase connections to esc to motors

No logger

This fall is making me realize how essential a logger is for diagnosing issues like this…

What was your ‘duty cycle limit start’ set to?

Hope you are ok dude

It doesn’t always show what happened, but sometimes.
Manual inspection of everything should show the cause though.

Sounds like what happens when one of my back wheels loose traction. It takes it happening several times before you really get the hang of controlling it when it gets that bad. I believe it also happens a little when one of my motors isn’t pulling its weight, but since I got used to controlling that wobble before one of my motors was damaged, I can’t say with 100% certainty.

I have no idea if that is what caused your fall or not, and unfortunately the only advice I have to get used to it requires it to happen again and for you to get thrown off again. Which isn’t exactly an ideal way.
