Land-Surf EXELL wheels [Serious]

Ok well I got a friend who is going to buy a set of these and we will see what’s up with them. I honestly think this is something needed for those with the lonestars and whatever. Your spending 4g’s on a esk8, you might as well upgrade the wheels to the best of the best. My honest opinion is that the wheels look really promising and from the looks of it, this guy really put a lot of time into this. I like the looks a lot, and think it is a step up from the stock wheels. Would I buy? Nope, cuz I ain’t got that type of money lol. This is all my 2¢ so don’t come at me lol

The fact that the spokes look like those on car wheels has a certain appeal to me. Only one I don’t really like is the "Khyron"model.

Not sure if I’d pay $500 to look cooler and not go any faster/farther/faster. Perhaps they are a good investment if you really love Carvers.

These wheels look really amazing but I think you overdone it and didnt consider pricing at all in your design, you can literally get some budget car wheels for that money haha

Anyways some people will get it regardless of price because the design amazing on them, and I will be a bit jelous haha

Do they come with a bag of diamonds?

I just put some directional 20 x10.5 rims on my vehicle for cheaper than these rims cost. No kidding

Thanks Karam it’s my Rain :joy:. That’s the same mentality I had when I bought the pair directly from him. I also had other reasons why I hopped on it. I think the biggest selling point to me was the fact that I didn’t have to cash out the full $500 since I was one of the lucky first few who bought the prototypes/first batch hubs.

He says they have better axial roll or something

Been thinking: maybe we all should be using large nuts / spacers in front of our wheel bearings? Less grime enters the bearings then, leading to longer lifetime and less resistance. Also helps against green / red bearings ruining the color scheme of the board. Thoughts?

You wouldn’t want the spacer to touch both inner and outer bearing races.

Hey my design has a hub cap, so no grime at all :stuck_out_tongue:

Saw a set in the wild last week. They look bitchin.
Would like to see the bearing spacing wider.
If the collar was to the outside of the wheel a wide wheel option and quick tube change out would be possible.

Congrats on the design patent.

Hahaha my man, that’s not me. Im not ever gonna ask a patent unless its something new. They are being made right now, they are widened though, ask @surfnacho if you are interested, he will send you one of my three sets for testing (if you want) no prob i think.(you will need to tap some holes yourself if you wanna try them) feel free to pm me :stuck_out_tongue:

I hear bill coming with the jailkeys though so i gotta run

I didn’t realize this at first but they’re already slightly widened relative to MBS rockstar IIs. They have about 6mm extra width.

Partly on the outer dimensions:

But, with slightly narrower lip it’s partly from the inside.

God how much are these gonna be 600+?

I hope not.

Lacroix just came out with their $500.00 set of wheels as well.
dashing hopes of competition for cheaper wide option on the scene.

still these wheels are nice for those with the cash. (nicer than the lacroix IMO and nicer / lighter than the hellcats. ) I wish I could make the leap to buy more.

@3DServisas can you make us some wide hubs that fit on a standard axle and don’t cost 500euros ?
I know you can, but will you?:crazy_face::gift:

Nobody forbids you from wishing that

To be honest, I’ve got the nuts, just the nuts, sitting in my cart. $6/nut is about what the cheapest Ti or 7075 machined nuts go for on ebay. The value to me, even on my plastic Fivestars, is that they cover the bearing shield, don’t require a speed washer, and weigh a helluva lot less than the steel nylock nut they replace.
