I know I keep posting Matt at land surf’s stuff. I know it’s not cheap. but it’s so cool. :). and hey it’s like 30% cheaper than Lacroix Titanium pulleys.

no protection against corrosion?

stainless… that’s hardened again… they’re claiming resistance to belt wear also.

Sexy

What’s the width inside the flanges?

Yeah that’s lame. I have no plans to start using 10mm motor shafts, like, ever.

For 120 bucks i can get 24 off @Anubis or something like that… This has to have 500% markup atleast.

I mean they look great ofc…but 60 bucks!?

well they should last more than twice as long than regular alu ones that often retail for $30.00/pr and they are far less than lacroix Ti for $90 so there’s a market I’m sure.

but not for everyone. sure. especially those who know a guy and can buy in bulk.
I bet Land Surf gets em for cheaper too. :stuck_out_tongue:

I also don’t see any benefit to the weight increase since I never break 8mm shafts

jesus i have never seen alu pulleys for 30 bucks a pair, and Ti is expensive and difficult to machine, hence the higher prices.

if only those are 8mm shaft

Yeah, I guess this is example is steel:

Anyhow. I’m not really trying to say you’re wrong. Just saying it’s not too far out of the market for something that is harder and intended to last longer than Ti pulleys.

They have no separate flanges either… they are one piece. I don’t know how to value that though. just sounds neat. :stuck_out_tongue:

unless you’ve had TB’s pulley flanges fall off on you repeatedly…or anyone else’s for that matter, its hard to appreciate it.

The one’s i had made for my own builds, both 12mm and 15mm widths, have small stampings that keep them on. You can see them in this pic:

but they still break loose from the extrusion on occasion and when they do they spin instead of falling off, which keeps the belt in place but makes a sometimes terrible squealing noise.

single piece pinions are one of those things you hope for but expect no one to ever really make.

Agree, it’s because machining that shape is extremely difficult unless you eliminated the flange on one side.

Just saying

Edit and trampa steel ones are like 20gbp a pair
