LaCroix is... dead ™️

That’s on Hoyt, not LaCroix.

A next Hoyt remote would have a throttle. Maybe some buttons? Probably a chargeport.

I’ve never understood this idea. I have mostly used cast trucks without any issues. One of the trucks was even ran over by a car and was mostly unharmed aside from being slightly bent. Not an SUV though but one of the short 4 door cars

In the US you can only make people waive the right to sue when it comes to self inflected injuries. So if you fuck up and hurt yourself while the board was working properly then that is on you. However, those waivers do not protect against gross negligence or faulty product design.

Although I’m pretty sure for products that not being able to sue because you fucked up using it is standard and that a waiver isn’t even needed. Having a statement about the risks and telling you to wear protective gear seems to be the industry standard

I’ve never had an issue with it, so nobody must have issues! Is an awful mindset.

Casting is inconsistent and shitty.
You can find tons of photos or other brands with cast parts cleanly snapped . Just other day backfire recalled a TON of cast truck mounts and motor mounts. They said they are switching to a partial CNC design.

Boosted had this issue, Exway and Evolve i think still cast their trucks and just about every week on the subreddit and facebook groups you see photos of broken casted trucks from regular usage. You know what you dont see broken CNC trucks that werent in some wild accident.

It sounds like you’ve got a pretty specific idea in mind for what you would consider an ideal remote.

I’m not sure expecting others to design something to one’s own exact specification has ever worked out for anyone without hiring someone to do that work. NRE’s can’t be paid for in hopes & dreams.

But it also sounds like the perfect opportunity for you to design & produce your own dream-remote! :slightly_smiling_face:

All I know is that our first boards had cast aluminum (Caliber II) trucks and we’ve had a number of customers with both baseplate and hanger breaks. Havent had a single CNC truck break.
