Those are custom made for bioboards packs.
I’m looking for 30mm perforated 0.3mm or 0.2mm as it welds much easier

Do you have any source for 0.2mm two row nickel for 21700?
I found one supplier but shipping for 5 kg of nickel is like 70-80$ to me in Croatia.
The regular nickel price is about 40-45$ per kg, which is really fine perforated maybe a bit more.
I could ask for 30mm nickel which is perforated i guess
I think I killed my 3Sx2P in only a few sessions. idk I don’t think it is supposed to drop and jump voltage like that… will see what’s up with it.
No more welding without a power supply.
seems like any battery dies quick at 50J, the initial voltage reading my not be trustworthy.
yeah it basically shuts itself off after I try to do a 10J weld… weird
tempted to put this pack on a esk8 to see if it is still usable haha
What moddle was it?
not sure what you mean, but I am going to put together another 3S2P and make sure it stays full this time.
What was the battery you killed?
Turnighy graphite 4000ma?
Samsung 30q?
Spim08hp, I have killed some of them doing other dumb stuff, like pulling 100A+ out a 12S1P.
One cell out the whole pack will get a super fluctuating voltage.
ok so I took the super fukt 3S1P pack and tested it and it took hours to discharge and I got 4ah, tried to charge right after and the bad cell jumps right to 4.1v(.2A charge too)… its rekt
will have to see if the other 3S1P is ok.
this may actually be a balance charger connection issue.
idk I am just confused at this point.
Ooo them things with the crazy optimistic rating. IR was way to high in comparison to other battery’s made it seem to good to be true
I actually charged it up on .4A and it seems ok not and I notice the pack that did show signs of life has a problem charging…
Can’t fault the cells yet. Best $1.75 shipped battery I err seen
Yes but you need a lot of them in parallel to be used with the welder can’t rember there IR but it was all over the place on videos I saw super low quality
lol I would not consider 3S2P to be a lot of cells. Especially with how quick it is to make one using foil crimps.
I know they aren’t great but the are working very well for me.
What is it buy cheep buy twice. I think I saw some one on YouTube test a load and had it varying from 0.2-1.8 mOhm. that is a huge amount of veriation. It will kill your cells 0.2 cell would do most of the work. I can only presum that’s that’s happened to you. Test them befor use need to fined matching ones
hmm yes I am yet to see how they will actually do long term.
Using a power supply give you a reading on how much the battery needs to recover. Let the charge amps go below 1 and start welding again. I also should have a fan blowing on the whole setup.
I’d be again charging and discharging simultaneously it adds mutch more heat and can exaggerate the issue of drift. If your plan is to do that I’d swop to capacitors
I am keeping a close eye on the cells now that I know the Kweld can’t tell me when it will die at the moment, guess I could change the cutoff.
Goal is to get em to give up!
I tried useing a lipo tester on the balance leads. Dame thing just bleeps every time you weld and it sees the volt drop of the load. Now I just check about a 1000 welds. You get a feel for how the welder starts reacting after a wile
Kinda stupid question but my mom has this stainless steel grater that broke and I was wondering if the kweld would be able to re-spotweld it?
Probably way too thick and would spark a lot
