They do get very hot. But the trucks also tell me they’re overheating on the remote

It would be cool if you could easily swap out the batteries once they show age. There’s only 8. I’m thinking like a flashlight lol. They use welded batteries right now?

I guess they’re already connected to an esc and can’t be simply connected to a vesc and the vesc tool. That would be the revealer of electrical resistance per phase and the real kv and could figure the heat produced per ft/lb of torque and Ultimately how efficient they are
Pretty sure they have iron behind the windings and can’t be called coreless or iron-less. I think I read they’re claiming a mix between slotted and slotless and essentially have recessed stator teeth.
Sounds like a battery killer having the batteries contained in what is essentially the motor‘s heatsink. Possibly dangerous if no temp shutdown is on it.

Is there something positive in that trucks by your opinion? For who is made? How you see future of that kind of invention?
then again maybe they insulate well between the batteries and the aluminum hanger. i like integration of parts and maybe its not the risk it seems.
is the hanger still strong being hollow? i guess its steel at least. big diameter and hollow vs a standard cast in axle i wonder how it compares
how is the motor held together? i see no bolts. just interference fitted?

Depending on speed the trucks switch between 2S2P and 4S1P for better efficiency.

I am riding mine everyday now , it gives you such an analog feel . I love it . I just can’t pass the 20mph out of fear of the remote . The remote is good , don’t give me wrong . It just doesn’t give me confidence.
Compare to something like that crap Mellow board , it has much better response and control . The Urethan they used is excellent . Too good that I have a little slice on one of them and I superglued it . A little jerkiness here and there during your ride but overall one of my favorite board .

I think there is an odometer on the remote under info.
Torque is not bad. Brakes are meh. You should know how to footbrake definitely
