Still deciding on a shop for the motor mounts and hanger adapters—looking at JLCPCB, PCBWAY, SendCutSend (CNC beta), and open to other suggestions.
Looking good! Craftcloud is a potential source for CNC parts. It’s the same site I used to produce the SLM drives. They’ll source it out to a large pool of manufacturers and send you a list of pricing. In my experience customer service has been great too.
The wheel gear is 96T. So you could go as low as maybe 15T? On the motor gear. I am open to making a larger higher ratio version if this one gains traction.
It’s all open source, for an aluminum housing all you would need to do is submit the 3D print file to one of the CNC providers listed in the main post.
For motor gears. These will need to be trimmed and given a keyway. This is not too hard to do with common shop tools and a 3 mm broaching tool for a 8 mm bore
